I'm very thankful for this school. I've seen a lot of reviews on Yelp that were extremely negative like "you get what you pay for" and that "they only care about your money" This is what I have to say in response to that: With education, you don't get what you pay for you get out of it what you put into it. If you want your children to get something out of their education, as a parent you must sacrifice and contribute a great deal to their learning. You can't just dump them off at the school front door and let others deal with it. On the positive side, my son learned so much that contributed to his spiritual growth. He makes Biblical principals life applicable, because of things he learned at Maria Regina. He's only 7, and the things he would repeat to me, with understanding and the ability to relate them to situations he faces, is just impressive. The office aides are loving and caring. Most of the teachers are wonderful individuals. Unfortunately, we did have a negative experience with a teacher that just wasn't at her best this year. Communication was non-existent if I didn't physically go into the school most days on my work breaks to check up on things. The homework portal was never updated as needed, the class parent never returned emails, etc. For a while, I thought it was my son and his behavior, but I later learned it was a combination of teaching issues and a boy being at a challenging age. The teacher may do better working with an older age group. But, I don't think it's fair to generalize the whole school based on one bad experience with a teacher. The school has a science lab now, but had to use the old library to create the space for it. It would be nice if they had a library again. I don't think tablets should be the #1 source for books. Libraries are very integral. If I had the extra money, I would donate it to build them a new library. The parents are great, at this school, and a lot of them donate more than the required amount of time to make sure this school is a great place. If you live or work in the area, and you don't want your child in a public school, and you're of the Christian faith (Protestant or Catholic), this is a good school with a lot of potential. Just be sure you can give as much as your time as you can.

My son will graduate from MRS this year. I have to say from the moment i walked in i was happy with the school, Staff and Administration. The communication is great and you can access everyone at any time. This is very important when it comes to your child's education.

many years ago. The principal they have now is so ghetto. The school is going down hill. What shock me and other parents. Was last year she let the kindergarten teacher go and now it's been two are three sense then. Let's not forget the Priest Leo whatever you want to call him he doesn't act like a Father at all. He has his favorite just like the 8th grade teacher. If you know what I'm saying. This is the last year my child will be attending.
