If you are looking for academic excellence within a nurturing environment, then RSIOC is the right school for your children. Our children (ages 3 and 4) have been enrolled here for the past school year, and they have improved leaps and bounds in all areas of developmental milestones, in addition to learning three languages. The teachers are phenomenal caring individuals who genuinely display interests in the well being of their students (mentally, physically, emotionally, socially, etc.). To us, enrolling our children at RSIOC is one of the most important/impactful decisions we have made towards their future; and we couldn't have asked for a greater blessing.

This school is absolutely exceeding all my expectations - and I was expecting quite a bit! I had researched RSI's challenging academic curriculum and tri-language component and I knew that was what I wanted. But in addition to all that is an amazing, totally dedicated, engaged, expert teaching staff who are 100% committed to the success of our kids every day. The academic support hour that is included each day gives our whole family freedom from the stress of homework. I feel like our kids are learning twice as much every day without the evening homework stress we used to experience in other private schools. The RSI system makes SO much sense! And our kids are thriving! Our youngest one, age 5, had no Chinese language background before starting Kindergarten this year, and after ONE month of school she could recite no less than four Chinese poems, name and match characters to ten different fruits, name a bunch of body parts, and is doing addition in Chinese. By the end of this year she will be able to speak and recognize over 350 characters, and if I weren't witnessing it with my own eyes , I might not have believed it. She has so much fun trying out her new language on our dog and begging us to videotape her saying her poems! I was hesitant about putting our older daughter in the program because the school is still young and there aren't as many older kids, but she too is thriving. Our older daughter is twelve and has had four years of weekend Chinese at the Irvine Chinese School, but now she is totally immersed in it every day and is making such speedy progress. Her success I credit directly to the school director, Carrie Mizera, who has worked hand-in-hand with me to make sure that our older daughter's classes fit perfectly with her ability and experience in math, science, Chinese, English, and History. Carrie has taken the time to create a truly custom curriculum for her and the results are already incredible. I only wish I had moved our older daughter to this school sooner. There's so much more I could write, but the bottom line is that our family just loves this school and we're so glad that the upper levels are opening up so that we can stay here all the way through high school!

What a fantastic find! My child is loving her arts and crafts activities that are taught in different languages. In a matter of just weeks, she has begun spontaneously speaking in Spanish and in Mandarin at home, teaching the rest of our family! One of the things that I really love about the teachers is their combination of teaching excellence and ability to adapt to individual learning styles. They noticed her love of art and have nurtured it, providing her opportunities to combine tactile artistic expression with language acquisition. The school uses Singapore math and an advanced science curriculum. I am so happy with the school, love the teachers and the families. Mable.

The most exciting aspect of this school of course is the Chinese, Spanish, and English immersion. The exact languages we had wanted our sons to learn. The children are learning their academics in these three languages and thriving. We have read the latest studies that say young children are hardwired in their brains for learning language. The best way to learn a language is to be immersed into it, not by repetition or traditional methods of learning foreign languages. When we found out that they would learn both the languages and culture from native teachers, we were convinced that our son would be much more competitive in the global marketplace. It will enable our son to converse, negotiate and travel to many countries without language or cultural boundaries. When we compared private school tuition's to the Renascence School we found that they are very competitively priced. There are programs we have read about in New York City costing three times as much. Not to mention those schools did not have the Spanish or advanced math and science curriculum found at the Renascence school. All in all, if our family were to put together a 'Christmas Wish List' of everything that we wanted in a school for our son, the Renascence school would have checked off everything on it and then some.

This school is unique in that it has advanced academics, Chinese and Spanish immersion, and it is a great value. It was an easy decision to send my 5 year old here. He not only is speaking these languages, and surprised me with his math skills, but he has become so creative since starting the program. They have a way of presenting a pretty intense program in a fun and nurturing way. If you are going to send your child to a private school do yourself a favor and go on a tour of this school. It costs the same as the other private schools and gives your child a leg up on the rest of the children they will competing against for college admissions and jobs in the future.
