My daughter has been going to Merryhill since the summer before JrK and we are very happy with the school. All the teachers we have had so far are excellent, and even the office staff are great. My daughter has a very energetic outgoing personality and this school with its culture of all-round development is a perfect fit for her. She loves going to school everyday ! Their focus on academics is pretty competitive, but at the same time they also have great extra-curricular opportunities for kids to pursue other interests like sports, music, theater, robotics, etc. The principal also organizes regular parenting workshops which are helpful. The communication from class teachers is organized, frequent and efficient. I am amazed at the progress my daughter made in reading and language arts in just one year. Though these are not her strong areas, the class teacher recognized the need to work with her a bit more, and did it. The school building and the grounds around it are pretty good, but as other reviewers pointed out, parking can be a challenge. We have made peace with that fact now and just plan ahead of time (especially during school events). I highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a positive, nurturing and holistic experience.

My son has been going to Merryhill since Jr. K and it 's such an awesome school with sense of community and detail weekly communication with the parents. Great curriculum. My son was able to read chapter book in K. They also have very reasonable price summer camps. Teachers are knowledgable and caring. They have a variety of after school speciality classes you can add to the normal after school program. And they have a very big grass field right behind of the school for many outdoor activities. I really like this school.

The school is OK academically and the teachers are friendly and excited about teaching. If you have a special need for the handicapped parking, I suggest you reconsider. Many inconsiderate, healthy, able-bodied parents use the handicapped parking because they're just too lazy to walk an extra 20 yards. So far, although I've complained, I haven't see the school address it. During school performances, parents totally fill the fire zone making it a huge liability if there really was an emergency and the fire department needed to get in. They wouldn't be able to.
