Awesome Church school

Went to school here from preschool to eighth grade. This school has the most loving teachers and the highest caliber of instruction possible. They truly raise up honorable children to love each other and love God!

love this place!

I was raised a Methodist, creation and evolution weren't mutually exclusive in my world until I went there. In the year 2001, I had the hardest year of my entire school career thanks to this school. I transferred here for my first year of jr. high. During that time a teacher here accused me of being possessed, we prayed not for, but TO George W. Bush, I learned questioning authority can be fun, I learned survival depended on pretending to drink the koolaid, people tried to pray my ADD away, and I was irrevocably sent down a path that destroyed my last shreds of faith, leading me to atheism. I learned that the most vocal in any broad category are typically the minority. I don't know what this school is like now, google didn't have this feature back then, and it looks like nobody else has written a review. I've never before or since felt so persecuted and out of place in my life. It was entirely thanks to three of my teachers and the friends I made there that I survived. I can't tell you about the curriculum I picked up there, that's not what I remembered, and anything I missed(Sex ed) was filled in by high-school. But this school tested my mental fortitude, and I can say I won, for better or worse. I discovered critical thought and skepticism because I came to hate blindly accepting the dogma spouted by mere mortals pretending at divine inspiration. If your child comes from an evangelical background, they won't likely have the experience I did. Plenty of kids raised in that environment, who either bought it whole hog, or knew how to ignore the doomsaying seemed to do fine. I can only implore parents to do their research beforehand. Mine did not, and while the "quality" of the education program may be better than some of the public schools in the area, be aware that they don't always use facts to determine the substance of that education.
