Legacy is an amazing school! My nephew goes there - and I am constantly wow'd by the quality of academics, the technology in the classrooms, the kindness of the staff and the quality character of every child there.

Actually, I don't really agree with the previous comment. It is true about different teaching with other schools. But! It's because it is CHRISTIAN SCHOOL. This school is built to teach bible. So teaching about how the world was made in six days, and why is gay marriage is totally mistake are the right thing.

So I am a former student of legacy, current high school junior and have been waiting to write this review for several years in an attempt to no longer be driven by emotion but I am not sure if that is possible. I joined legacy the beginning of my seventh grade year. Let me make one thing clear: if you or your child does not believe in the Christian bible word for word this school is not for you. I was taught in my classes on how the world was created in exactly six days and had teachers physically call me dumb for bringing up the concept of evolution. Another teacher had been openly mocking the LGBT, saying that transgender men and women were 'disgusting' and teaching that gay marriage were 'mistakes'. The middle school building itself contained one hallway and four classrooms, which both the seventh and eighth grade class shared. The school itself is very conservative (one girl out of our thirty students identified as a democrat) and anyone who did not go along with what others believed was completely outcasted. There was also virtually no diversity in the school, immediately singling out any people of color. Bullying was a very big problem and after talking to current students still is. I was verbally and physically bullied both my years there. It was a very toxic environment with teenage girls encouraging eating disorders and teenage boys over sexualizing the girls. Even at ages fourteen and fifteen students were sleeping around and hooking up, occasionally on school property. Overall if I could go back and and change my decision, going to a school such as Rio Norte instead I would in a heart beat. I strongly implore you to not send your child to this school if you want your child to learn in a healthy and accepting environment.
