My sons go here. It's only been 2 weeks but I could see the improvement in their reading skills. The place is small but the teachers are nice

My baby brother goes here and it's a great school! The teachers are great and very caring. They have a well balanced curriculum and small student-to-teacher ratio. My brother is supposed to start first grade but can already read at a third grade level and already knows his times tables! I highly recommend checking out this school and seeing what it's about!

My two kids have attended the Children's Learning Center Montessori in Thousand Oaks for nearly a year, and my wife and I have been greatly impressed by the level and quality of education they have received. The teachers are experienced in understanding and responding to different learning styles and are also flexible in their approach to the curriculum. Coupled with the Montessori method, this makes for a truly excellent educational environment. The students are held to high standards, but in a positive way that encourages them to do their best. The outcomes are superlative, with the kids reading and doing mathematics and science at a far more advanced level than their peers. While the focus is on academics, opportunities for physical activity such as martial arts and soccer are also provided. The school owes its excellence to talented and dedicated teachers, who have genuine affection for the kids, and for whom the instruction of their pupils is a mission rather than a job. As an educational institution, CLC Montessori has my highest recommendation.

Please, think of looking on Yelp for further information on this "school". I applied to work here, fresh out of college with a 4.0 double major in education and sociology. This is not a school, this is someone's HOUSE. I interviewed for a job and was instantly offered a job, but once I saw the condition of the "house/school" and the way the children were not being supervised...I figured looking at a legitimate school was where I needed to be. I am a firm believe that the Montessori method, if practiced correctly, is the most effective type of learning for young children. This environment is in a strange location and the "house/school" is very strange [in a bad way]. If you want to invest in your children's future, I recommend you look elsewhere...even if it may cost a little more.

Our 3 year old son has been at CLC for a 1.5 years and has thrived in the environment. It is a cosy family friendly school with a strong focus on learning as well as development of other critical skills. My son does soccer, martial arts and Kids in Motion, all through the school. They also introduce Spanish at a young age. My three year old has excellent attention span and focus, much to the credit of the teaching methods of the school. He enjoys reading, and is starting to write and string letter sounds together to make words. I love that he loves to learn!
