My experience has been very poor and distasteful with this place and this is really not a school for people, but for the rich, elite who is also famous. First of all there were 15 open spaces for toddlers to start to school and they invited 600 parents to see and "experience" what your kids are missing. In my group of prospective parents Christina Aguilera came with her hubby; guess whose kid gets accepted at the end. Beside that, they are claiming giving priority to minorities or they don't care for the different family types, they made sure as a gay single dad we were not welcomed clearly from the beginning. My only one on one interview was a Korean woman who basically told me that she had no ties or interest with her country of birth, because she was adopted by a family in Michigan and at 40 years old she was not aware of a Korean war. I can also admit we are more atypical as we have Muslim names, but this should not be an issue for a school which has a motto for diversity, you think, WRONG!!! When they are speaking diversity they are talking among "the shaking in their boots CEOs of entertainment companies"- read the article from Los Angeles TImes about the school-, they are allowing a rapper and singer's daughter , I mean Jay Z and Queen B. I am quite sure they are feeling empowered to know their kids attending such an exclusive and elitist school. Gist of it though, when they gave us the tour of the school , I did not see kids having fun or running around in exuberance but sitting somberly and very quietly as if 1950s British Style school where corporal punishment was allowed even for laughing too loud. SO a big so I did not want my child to attend to this school even if accepted, although we did not have snow flake,s chance and this was made obvious to us from the beginning. I wrote to the head mistress about my experience, she under no little terms fired me an angry letter stating "your kid will never come through our doors". My suggestion to prospective parents please don't waste your afternoon, for thinking your kids future and going for an interview so that they can gloat your face their rejection of your kid. First your kid would not be happy in that institution and second there is more risk of a heroin addicted child among those famously famous troubled kids. Tell them to take that application and frame it.
