A place where girls can thrive academically and athletically. Have you heard that some boys are suffering educationally as they try to conform to the "feminization of classrooms". "Girl-behavior" is now what teachers at co-ed schools expect from boys. Some experts say it impacts a boys learning negatively.

Like it very much

Well, it starts off really great! Lower school was good. But by the time middle school rolls around I feel that the school does not give the girls the best tools to deal with the social issues that arise. Lets face it the word community is in every newsletter but when it comes down to dealing with the issues in the community they do not deal with it. I find it very sad. My daughter goes back from time to time to visit her friends that are still there but is very happy she left.

This school has great academics and a great sense of community. My daughter is in her second year and we couldn't be happier at the choice we made. If you are looking for great academics, diversity, and great teaching........Springside is the place for your daughter!

It is true that I graduated from CHA in 1984 and many changes have taken place since then but in a recent reunion I saw many of the same excellent professors who seemed well contented and that strongly suggests continuity of quality. After CHA I went to Penn and even later I studied at Rutgers in New Brunswick. I also interacted with faculty at Villanova's math program. While Rutgers math department is top 10 (perhaps globally) and the professors were interested in interesting questions and ideas (on a level approaching that of CHA's teachers) Chestnut Hill's quality of thinking and teaching far exceed that offered by professors at Penn and Villanova. Again: CHA is the best academic environment I've ever found or likely will!
