Since the new ownership has taken over the school has a different " positive" atmosphere. My son is extremely happy there and loves going there. He has learned so much and been able to retain it. He loves yoga, chess, and sign language. Great location in a safe area. Mrs. Carla in the office is always polite and wants the best for your child. Evin is the new owner who always has a smile on her face and knows your child personally.

Considered enrolling my son here because it's so close to where I work. Drove past and see a playground full of kids being supervised by an employee in a cute sponge Bob hat.. Texting away on her phone. Great supervision. No thank you.

We have loved our time at The Goddard School Vinings! After moving from Chicago in July, we visited a few schools in the area, and ultimately felt the most comfortable at this location. The new ownership is committed and involved, the administrative staff is friendly, informed and helpful, and the teachers are outstanding. Kind, respectful, engaged, dedicated, patient, well-trained, outgoing and conversational - all of these attributes are what I want in the people interacting with my toddler every day. The teachers (and we've been in 2 classes already because my daughter transitioned to the next level up) have all been (without exception) incredibly good with the kids - from both an educational and an emotional/care perspective. Our daughter's skills and learning and sociability and personality have all skyrocketed since she started here, and I attribute much of that to the rigorous play education that The Goddard School employs. I have great conversations with the teachers before and after school each day, and they truly know and love our daughter. They ask great questions, they answer mine, the have input and suggestions (helpful for a first-time mom!) and are guiding me along in this process. For the value (and it's not cheap, but that was not our desire), the quality of care is outstanding. We utilize the organic food catering company, and yet are pleased with the snacks the school offers. If you are reading old reviews - rethink and revisit - the school is really an incredible place to be. My daughter and any future kids will be here as long as we're in the area. Thanks, TGS!

Very different day care than other good day cares. My daughter started here in Oct 2014 and spent around 10 months here. This day care has so many problems. Even the owner was not able to keep up with this day care and sold to someone else. You can imagine that how bad this day care is. Let me highlight some of the problems we faced in 10 months - 1. They are heavily under staffed. They don't have sufficient admin staff and teachers. I have never seen floaters in the class room. They say that they have floaters to help during activities but their floaters are assistant teachers in some other classes. 2. They don't follow any criteria for lead and assistant teacher. In my daughter's class, the lead teacher quit and they promoted assistant to lead and brought some high school pass out as a assistant teacher. No education criteria for lead or assistant teacher. 3. They don't have kitchen. The food comes from outside and very expensive. They don't provide any late evening snacks to kids. Most of the parents provide lunches and the school has only one refrigerator to keep all the lunch box. So, be ready to spend some time to figure out the space for your lunch box. 4. You need to provide bed sheets, comforter and almost everything to them. They don't care if the kids has any food allergy and most of the kids eat from other plates which may cause problems to kids if they have allergies. 5. The school closes at 6 PM as compared to other day cares which mostly closed at 6:30 PM. 6. The one things i hate about this day care is the constant turn over of staff and they always have temporary staff to assist kids. 7. In past 10 months no one has ever gave any feedback about the Kids. 8. They are very money minded. I have not seen them celebrating Father's day, Mother's day and they do not celebrate Christmas too. They just do not want to spend any money and in June they did hike the tuition fees which make no sense to me. 9. I did not see even a single teacher as CPA certified. The biggest problem i see in this day care is the staff. No matter how hot or cold it is, your kid will be in play area for 45 minutes so that teacher can chat with each other. Very bad. Please make sure you talk to other parents before you send your kid to this day care. Have a nice day!

My son graduated from The Goddard School in Vinings this year. We love everyone at this school, because they genuinely care about your child, it feels like family. Each teacher gives the attention and love that your little one deserves. My son made many new friends, and learned so much. When he got tested for Kindergarten, they said he was really smart, and I attribute that to the wonderful teachers and staff at Goddard Vinings! I am confident my son will do well in his new school because of the excellent start Goddard School Vinings has given him!
