I was going to wait until I leave to do this so this lady won’t try nothing with me but I can’t. Please spread the word to never work or bring your kids to this place! It may have been good once upon a time but the director is nasty she speaks so much evil over people and these kids! I can’t take it. I stuck it out till the end because I know there was a reason for me being here but DO NOT BRING YOUR KIDS HERE OR WORK HERE! The director needs to retire, she doesn’t feed the kids properly or give them the meals state requires. They don’t want to pay employees what they should be paid or on a consistent basis. She may be going through a lot at home but she needs to get away from here. They do not know what they are doing anymore which causes the center to be poorly ran and the children and staff to suffer. What they believe about Americans are ugly so untrue! They are not right for this line of work dealing with God’s precious souls. Please don’t bring your children here! She tries to make it seem like she cares about the kids but as soon as the parent turn their backs she pushes them into the classroom. She tried to blame everything on the teachers but it’s really her. This place is only still in operation because of the teachers. I know this field can take a toll but I believe her patience has ran out and she needs help and need to pass the torch!

This school has been the worst school I have worked at. While working here, I have seen Mrs.Shakooi get in students faces and yell at them. She always throws them against the wall to be in time out. She barely feeds them and the kids constantly complain about still being hungry. She does not go by the breakfast/lunch/snack menu because she often does not give them their snack. She is very clean but as far as caring for the kids, she does not. It’s all for show and she is only still running because she knows when the State is coming to check out the school and tends to be on point only on that specific date. I have witnessed abuse and I would never recommend this school.

I have personally worked here and I wish I never left. Mrs. Shokoohi loves the children that walk through every morning & she is there for them with open arms. I enjoyed working for her and her husband! If you want a school ran by someone that will love your child as much as you love them, bring them to International Academy. While working at this school, I learned so much: different techniques on how to handle a classroom, handling children, and many other things. 10/10 recommend putting your child here.

Both my kids 9 years apart have attended this GREAT school!! Ms. Shakooe is very kind and understanding. A true education proffessional. She and her husband genuinely care for the overall well being of EVERY child who comes to the school. A true GEM in Douglasville. I HIGHLY recommend this hidden treasure in Georgia!!!

Worst place to ever send a child. The owner physically abuses the kids. This facility has been on Channel 2 Action News around the 2nd week of November 2017, for several claims of child abuse, and presently under investigation. The children are hardly fed, and the place is infested with mold. Those who left positive feedback are probably very close friends/family members of the Shokoohis. Stay far away!
