As an ex-student, I have heard and witnessed complaints of people who learned nothing at this school. Entire days were wasted at "play rehearsal" rather than in academics. More like a summer camp than a school, though a very strong Christian presence is there. Would not recommend.

My son was struggling in public school he was supposed to be tutored 2 times a week the public school principal told me that they did not offer tutoring after I was told that it would follow him through his schooling needless to say he failed 3rd grade my wife and I was beside ourselves we didn't know where to turn during summer break we were riding up highway 124 and we noticed the braselton Christian academy sign we stopped went in and met penny smith we explained our situation she asked if it would be ok if she took our son 2 days a week for a couple hours a day for the remaining of summer break to Tudor and find out where he stands of course we said let's give it a shot and boy are we glad we did miss penny said he was about a half of a year behind but she could have him caught up in no time he was reading 90 words per minute 3 months after enrollment my son was reading 200 plus words a minute he has been there 3 years now so far he has been with 2 different teachers there mrs. hooper and mrs. cordino which both are amazing people the school also has an amazing Christmas program The classroom sizes are small enough so if some kids need one on one they can give it to them everyone there are so nice I really believe that god had everything to do with us finding them I look forward for my son graduating from braselton Christian academy

I had the school's owner as a teacher when I was in elementary school. She went to start a new school a few years ago, and opened up BCA. I returned recently, hired to paint murals in the walls. I looked up the address today to see if one of my assistants lived close enough to come in and help me out a bit, and was surprised to see a VERY negative review claiming that the school is fraudulent. The school itself, being new, is still going through the process of being accredited. The owners make very little money off of the venture, contrary to what is stated below. BCA is a growing, young christian school. As with most Private Schools, state accreditation is NOT necessary, but I am fairly sure Mrs. Penney has it for herself, and I know one of her daughters as well does. The other teachers, I believe, are usually teaching younger students- and having been in both private AND public schools... I can tell you that piece of paper from the state DOES NOT a good teacher make. After spending three weeks working there for many hours each day, I can safely say that even during summer tutoring, children were ALWAYS supervised. I rode in the car more than once helping with errands, and everyone had their seatbelt on. Plus her daughters are in their thirties or so. I think it's a little petty to bring up whether or not THEY decided to wear a belt, given that they are adults who make their own decisions. Kids always had seatbelts, ALWAYS had a teacher watching out for them. All in all, BCA seems like a well run, swiftly growing school. The teachers are all nice, and the students very well behaved, respectful and KIND to each other. If you want to send your child to a school where they will be encouraged to grow and learn, Braselton Christian Academy is the place for them!
