I cannot say enough about Jacob’s Ladder and the incredible teachers and staff who teach and love our 12 YO twins with global neurodevelopmental delays. If I had to sum up our experience at Jacob’s Ladder in one word, I’d have to say it’s been life-changing. My girls started at Jacob’s Ladder when they were 7 years old. They were non-verbal, did not know their colors, letters or shapes and had the development age of about an 18 month old to 2 year old child. Within 11 weeks of starting the 1:1 program at JL both of my girls started speaking, identifying shapes and colors and telling us their wants and needs. It was absolutely astounding to us! They spent 4 years in the special needs program in our county’s public school system with no significant progress and within 3 months my girls were speaking to me. Now my girls are in a small group class at JL, speak in entire sentences, tell jokes, know their letters and numbers and are even beginning to read sight words! Every day still brings a new surprise. Everyone is so invested in the success of the children and is just as excited as you are when your child makes a small or significant gain. The students are truly loved - you can just see it, feel it and hear it. We are so happy and so are our girls – I just wish we had come here sooner!

Trying to move to Georgia looked into this school. For the minimum price they charge a month (which is around 3,000.00) you couldn't afford to get your child the help they really need. Sad to see the super high price tag we put on helping the handicap.
