Bedford teachers genuinely love their students. Everyone here goes above and beyond to help each child reach their true potential. My boys LOVE going to school everyday.

This is a great school. It has been so great helping are kids in learning how to read.

At the end of his last school year *at a local school* my son was SUICIDAL as a result of the frustrating years spent in the "traditional" public-school model. You see, as a student with an above average IQ who struggles with Dyslexia and Receptive/Expressive Language Disorder, our son's deficit was deemed not dire enough to warrant special services from our public school system (only accommodations). Though we have had him in various therapies/ tutoring programs for years, the problem was AT SCHOOL. Even though he was popular with friends, the classroom experience was extremely painful and ruined his self esteem. He was convinced that he was "stupid" though its obvious from anyone who talks with him that he is not. The Bedford School saved my child's life. Within weeks of starting this private school in Fairburn, Ga., he became a different kid. They have taught him the strategies needed to overcome his limitations. At Bedford he has learned HOW TO LEARN, while other schools failed. Even though we commute for 1 hr each way - and he now has to wear a uniform - he LOVES his school and we would be lost without it. So would the other kids that attend there. And this is why I write to you today. I wish you would visit the school and see what these amazing people are doing with and for these kids. EVERY STUDENT - whether with a learning disability or not - would benefit from their teaching methods and learning environment. EVERY SCHOOL - especially the struggling public school system - would benefit if they would only follow Bedford's model.
