Our first year is almost over and our son is off to a truly remarkable start. We were shocked by what we saw modern kindergarten had become in public schools, where mass-produced curriculums and obvious teaching to the standardized test were drying up our son's love of learning. JMS has been a total transformation for him, they have spectacular programs and wonderful staff. Best of all, they work with parents instead of talking down to them over concerns like public schools do these days. I never thought I was a Montessori parent but the truth is... it's what schools ALL used to be - before they were sold out and over-regulated to death. Worth a visit, definitely do a classroom observation - especially if you're new to the Montessori style. You will be amazed and charmed.

We loved JMS as a preschool and after a two year hiatus to attempt public school, we are so excited to re-enroll our son back at JMS for 2nd grade. Montessori learning suits our child best and JMS is like home!

I have seen my son grow from a curious toddler to a passionate learner because of Joliet Montessori School. The school possesses a strong community of families that all want the best for their children. The teachers create an environment for all students learn. They hold the students to high expectations, and the students work diligently to meet those expectations. The administration creates opportunities for all families to play a role in the success of the school. The school is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and I wish them many more years of creating life-long learners!
