This is the lowest class operation of all the schools I have seen. The staff stutters and stammers over your questions. They seem neglectful as I was there for a tour and kids where in the halls aimlessly wondering about. These children were highly impaired and it was clear to me that they needed assistance. A child wondered in the office stating she had forgotten where the bathroom was. She was told to wait a minute and waited so long she urinated on herself. I was told the facility just moved not long ago to its current location. The building looked not of quality and had a dirty smell within the halls. It is my feeling that they moved to the better part of town to put on airs so to speak. I have toured several schools in the last week preparing for my daughter's start in August. Others are more expensive but quality is what you pay for. You won't get it here, first impressions are lasting. I am not difficult to please but these people do not have their act together. They are neglectful and cold to the children I saw them speak to. The halls smelled and looked dirty, the bathroom I went in only produces cold water!!!! Yep. I will definitely not be sending my angel here in August .

Pitt teaches the WHOLE child. My son, who has Fragile X Syndrome, started in 2nd grade and will graduate in a few years w/a high school diploma. He receives life skills, art, music, computer and more on top of all the traditional academic subjects taught on HIS level. I couldn't be more impressed w/the faculty who genuinely care for every single student. Any parent of a child w/a disability knows the worry of wondering what's happening at school. The peace of mind I have knowing he's safe and happy and actually learning at Pitt is priceless. Pitt Academy isn't just a school to us, it's a place where special kids really do reach their potential. 😊

An educational dumping ground, I am so glad I found another educational facility. My child is thriving and LEARNIING! Not repeatedly going over material she already knows and not progressing to the next level. The staff also has a lack of understanding for student's individual needs. This school has a good premise but no follow through. At best I would call it a special needs daycare. It was appealing because it is Catholic based and cheaper than other schools. You know that old saying you get what you pay for? Here I have never seen a truer example. Please take my advice and shell out the extra 6,000.00 to 10,000.00 a year for one of the better schools, like Friends or DePaul. You and your child will be so glad that you did. Good luck to you all !
