I have been teaching at Shrine Catholic High School and Academy for 10 years. I actually had to leave Michigan during my tenure because my husband's job suffered layoffs. The moment he was able to find work back in Michigan, I contacted Shrine, a position opened up, and I quickly took it! I have taught in other schools before and I have never felt more welcomed and at Home than I have at Shrine. The faculty, staff, parents, and students truly are family. I work alongside thoughtful, talented teachers and administrative staff that want the most for their students. As a middle school teacher, I love that I know every student and have the ability to give extra help and guidance when needed. I truly enjoy interacting with my students and their families--whether it's in the classroom, at Meet The Teacher Night, conferences, a sporting event, or Mass. Because I am confident in our rich curriculum, our amazing teachers and staff, and the terrific families that attend Shrine, my five year old to begin kindergarten at Shrine Grade School in the fall of 2017! #ShrinePride

The class size is key at Shrine. Each student is well known by the teachers and the support staff and they want the best for each student. In addition to learning the subject basics, students are taught and reminded respect and discipline on a daily basis. Not only respect for others but respect for themselves. It's a rigorous curriculum for sure which ensures that all the students are prepared for college at any level. My son started in Kindergarten and we have never thought of sending him anywhere else. Shrine is truly a family !

I have two students at Shrine - one at the academy and one at the high school. The end goal for us is to have our kids be college-ready academically and for them to be able to do what they love while here. Yes, we looked at other schools. We are so glad we stayed for the high school. Shrine teachers are extremely dedicated to the education and success of each and every student. They are engaged, responsive and invested. The opportunities for my kids to be involved in sports, music, art, leadership etc. are plenty. I believe they will come out with strong character, a great resume for college, and faith that will last a life time. The community is strong and all of the parents are involved in supporting the school. Shrine is truly a special place.

We have a son who's a sophomore at Shrine High. He's been attending Shrine schools since Kindergarten. It started off with an amazing experience with his K teacher Mrs. Bernacki, and went up hill from there. To tell you the truth we've never even thought of checking out another school Ethan has had no interest. He's very happy there, not to mention, we are as well. The principle and staff are extremely friendly, and willing to help out whenever needed. Shrine is out extended family, and it feels GREAT!

Excellent school!! I feel the administration really care about all the kids and try to reach out to each one. I love the fact that the school has grown in so many ways, academically, athletics and in their extra curricular opportunities. The teachers are approachable and willing to help your child if needed. Shrine teaches more than academics, they teach the kids to be well rounded, respectable young adults!
