Grace Montessori School is a wonderful learning community that has provided an excellent foundation for my daughter. Over the past four years she has developed a true joy in learning and has become an engaged and enthusiastic student. The teachers and staff are exceptional and truly passionate about their job. We will miss GMS as much as our daughter will.

This is our sixth year at the school. Our two older children attended the school for three years and completed the kindergarten program. Our youngest started the program this year. We have been very pleased with the school and its curriculum. The strength of the school is the teachers who all go above and beyond their duties. They have meaningful relationships with the children and have open communication with the parents. They also are involved in continuous training. Along with the educational aspect, the teachers pay great attention to the mental, physical and social well being of the children. Our children loved their experience and that made it easier to leave them at the school each morning! At the school, the children are nurtured, challenged and build a strong foundation for future academic success. Grace Montessori is a high quality preschool/elementary school and we highly recommend it.

We've had three children at GMS through the years. The quality of education is excellent. When our kids transitioned from GMS to the public school system, they were far ahead of their peers. Both of our girls have been placed in the gifted programs. Our preschooler is learning more and more each day. He loves the classroom environment. It's a place where teachers show kids how to love to learn! We have had several of the same teachers for all three kids, and we are continually impressed with their caring and committed attitudes. We highly recommend Grace Montessori School! -Jason and Andrea Langkamer-Smith

Our daughter went to Grace starting at age 4; is now in first grade in the lower elementary. Our son will start in the fall, assuming we are in the area. We absolutely love it - *almost* as much as our daughter loves it. The teachers are fantastic, as others here attest, the curriculum is a college professor's dream for her children, and the economic, cultural, and religious diversity of the students are a huge plus to us. We have found the administration to be perfectly reasonable, and we have been present for the issues represented below. Location is interesting too - downtown Allentown, which we have found (with some help through our daughter's eyes) to have some not insignificant charms.

Our son went to Grace for four years and had no problems at all there; all of his teachers were terrific. As parents, we had no problems until our last year, when the administration's incompetence (the leadership changed after our first few years) led to the firing of one teacher and the resignation of three others. Rather than working constructively to solve its problems, Grace's paranoid and overstaffed administration (evidently, it takes three head honchos to run this tiny school) set knuckle-headed policies and then cowed its teachers into submission. We parents who tried to stand up for the teachers were all given our walking papers as well. If you do decide to enroll at Grace, you can be sure that the teachers will do their best to help your children. But heaven help you if you run afoul of the bosses.
