LCS has my highest recommendation! This dynamic school is for anyone interested in their child gaining a top of the line, meaningful education. Being educated at LCS includes training up champions for Christ, teaching students with excellence and detailed care, proving a myriad of academic choices, and working with a faculty, staff and administration that truly cares for each student. LCS creates a family-like atmosphere for the students while they are gaining a quality education and equips students to be individuals of character who impact this world for Christ!

LCS is a well run organization that cares about its students and their education. The school is well staffed and is always evaluating performance in order to improve. My children have always felt safe, supported, challenged and successful while attending LCS, and I believe they have been well prepared for college and beyond with their experiences here.

If you are thinking about sending your child to LCS, think hard about what you are doing. It feels comforting to keep your child in a Christian environment - at least, that's how I felt. But what's the point if at the end of it all, your child walks away from the faith and has no actual substantive education to justify the money and time spent at private school? My son is a great guy, and I'm proud of him. But he's not a Christian anymore. He might have walked away from the faith anyway, but being forcefed a very narrow version of one denomination of Conservative Christianity, only to be shut off/shut down/ridiculed whenever he had questions that couldn't be answered by teachers (who took every opportunity to preach) -- it all made him crave honesty and openness even more. While you might think this is all a little hyperbolic, the biology teacher wouldn't use the word "uterus" in class because it was too immodest. The guidance office is laid back and lackadaisical, offering no real college advice aside from "attend Cedarville/Roberts Weslyan/Campbell" and "ask the Lord for guidance," which is fine - but as a parent with my first child going to college - I had no idea what we were doing. Looking back, we could've gotten better opportunities and real career guidance. We found ourselves fumbling around in the dark, and of course, my son made his own life and career after college. But Loudonville was a setback, not a leap forward. It cost us time and money to amend missed opportunities (at the time we had no idea we missed). Parents who think that LCS is a viable alternative to public school should (for either religious or academic reasons) should think twice.
