A great school with excellent teachers, a friendly staff, as well as a welcoming feel every day

If it wasn't for Tyburn my son would have kept falling between the cracks in public school. So when the opportunity arose for him to attend Tyburn we weren't sure at first because we were not Catholic. It did not matter to them if he was or not. So we enrolled him for his Freshman year there by his request. During my sons freshman year he struggled with testing. So we asked after it was suggested to us to have him tested to see if there was something more going on, due to his classwork grades were good but quizzes and test he barely was passing or he failed them. So he was tested to see if he had any deficits and what do you know he did very poorly in Math which he has always struggled with, now we know its due to him having a disability in problem solving in Math. We also found out he is ADD. He was put on medication and given some extra supports and he has made Honor Roll the First 2 marking periods of this year so far! I appreciate what Tyburn has done for my son! I was always told by public school teachers he was day dreaming not paying attention to what is going on and Scored horribly on those Common Core test but they did nothing to see if he had any kind of deficit. So anyone whom seems to think that Common Core is an issue for their child and would like their child to have the classical way of being taught then Tyburn Academy is the answer! Thank you again Tyburn!

My children have had a wonderful experience at Tyburn Academy. Two of my children have graduated from Tyburn and have received academic scholarships to colleges. This is because of the high level of academics at Tyburn. I have three children there now. They have had opportunities at Tyburn that they would not have had elsewhere. The individualized attention and care from the teachers have helped my children to mature and learn at their pace giving them the confidence in who they are to go on to college. The values and the Catholic faith that we teach at home are reinforced at this school. I highly recommend Tyburn Academy of Mary Immaculate

I am a graduate of Tyburn Academy, and I had a wonderful experience at this Catholic school. I learned from very intelligent teachers and left there fully prepared to continue my education in college. I participated in sports, met great people, and served others in the community. It is a Christ-centered environment, where my knowledge grew, both in terms of academics and my Catholic faith.

My two oldest sons graduated from Tyburn, and my daughter is presently an 11th grader there. I can't imagine a warmer, friendlier atmosphere to send your child! The kids are happy and the teachers are dedicated. My oldest sons went on to get their Bachelor degrees at prominent colleges and one is now in grad school getting his Doctorate. They both said that they were very well prepared for college because of Tyburn's academics. Tyburn is a joyful, safe learning environment that not only focuses on academics, but on the whole child - spiritual, emotional and mental. They do community service projects, offer girls and boys basketball, soccer and baseball, have lots of fun activities and enjoy life to the fullest! There are a number of special needs students and they are all very well treated by their peers! A wonderful school for any child! I would like to respond to the two people who posted a one star below. These are a mother and daughter who were at the school last year, and they gave unfavorable and outright deceitful reviews. This family came here with great negativity from the start. Mom was demanding and rude. The girls were painfully shy and when someone tried to befriend them they would look the other way and ignore them. It was an unusual situation where mother and daughters were determined to hate the school from the get go. They were extremely unfriendly and miserable and nothing could appease them. Now these painfully shy girls are in a public school known for its violence, gangs and drug problems, police are called regularly - and she says they are happy there! Go figure! In her review of Tyburn she stated many hateful lies to detract others from considering this beautiful school. I find that both sad and reprehensible. Since people can state anything they want on a review and use it to exact revenge, I would recommend going to see the school first hand and make your own decision - you won't be disappointed!
