We will always be grateful to the Long Ridge School. Our son didn’t like school when he attended our local public school. After transferring to Long Ridge for second grade, his attitude immediately improved. He loved his classes, particularly the rich science and music programs. Small class sizes and multi-age groupings encouraged formation of close friendships. Long Ridge nurtured his intellectual and social development and gave him excellent academic preparation for middle school. Thank you Long Ridge!

My children have loved their years at Long Ridge School. They have especially loved the hands on approach to science, the robust music program and the deep learning that comes with interdisciplinary approaches to social studies and math. And the best part is that they continue to grow their curiosity, creativity and joy for learning year over year. If we had it all to do over again, we would.

My child loves LRS - the teachers, students and parent community in a unique way all combine to provide a stimulating, learning environment where he is flourishing. I love that he is encouraged to explore, to be curious and to be confident as an individual and community member. He's taken advantage of the great academics as well as arts and sciences offerings; in class he has already experienced great character-building activities such as being class leader and given the mixed age classroom, he has plenty opportunities to help younger students as he himself learns. My child deserves a great foundation for his future and LRS delivers excellently!

Both of my children are proud graduates of The Long Ridge School. Both are unique (as are all children) and different in many ways but each received the exact right education at LRS. They were very successful in their "next school" admission process (getting accepted to the schools they desired) and left LRS not only being strong academically, but perhaps more importantly, strong in knowing how they learn and confident in their abilities. Emotionally, they were well prepared for the roller coaster that is middle school and academically they can hold their own. Truly well rounded. The foundational educational experience that LRS provides builds resilience, self-knowledge, and the request skills to be successful in middle school and beyond. To date, it was the best investment we have ever made.

Both of our children graduated from The Long Ridge School and loved it. The school excels in early childhood education and strives to make its students lifelong learners, and it succeeds due to its great teachers.
