starI have a younger family member who USED to attend this school. The reason I say "used to", is because OLA kicked him out. He was bullied both physically and mentally, and OLA has the nerve to say HE'S the problem. It's not the people who are bullying him that are the problem, no they're fine they can still attend school. The child that is being bullied constantly, it's his fault. If any staff of OLA is reading this, is this how you choose to handle bullying? Do you truly think the best way to stop it, is by punishing the child being bullied and not the people bullying? This sets a dangerous narrative. It tells the kids that are doing the bullying that it's fine to keep on with their actions. In turn, it does nothing to help the child being bullied. It just reaffirms they're negative beliefs of themselves, brought on by bullying. On your own website you state, "At Our Lady of Angels School we are concerned about the individual progress of each child." Maybe you should practice what you preach (no pun intended). Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death among young people. According to the CDC, there's approximately 4,500 deaths by suicide PER YEAR when it comes to young people. What is a known big reason for this? BULLYING. My family member who was kicked out by you, has his share of issues. Do you think the bullying helped? Do you think kicking him out and sending him elsewhere without any sort of friends helps? Is this what you do to all kids that are bullied? Just send them away so if they commit suicide because they're being bullied, it's not your problem? You're a for-profit system that cares far too little about the children and far too much about your bottom line ($$$). You clearly don't have the right people in place to handle any sort of issue like this. I feel sorry for any parent that sends their children here, as they're just possibly setting their children up to be treated terribly by their peers, and also staff. Being as your a catholic school and you believe in Heaven, I assume you believe in hell. To all of the administration and staff who sit and allow something like this to happen, you're disgusting, worthless, pathetic, and an awful set of role model to the children you clearly don't give a damn about. Hell, is where you all belong.
