this is the worst school don't bother and send your kids here, this school is very racist, and the staff are just so lazy, they don't care about anyone but themselves my daughter has went here for 4 years, she is in 7th grade now how disappointing!

My daughter has been attending from second grade. she is now in third grade. Sunrise Academy is a great school. The security and discipline is outstanding. Student to teacher ratio is also reasonable. My daughter love the school and the staff are hard workers. My daughter is getting a lot of individual attention, and the teachers are great at working with parents. Overall I am very happy with the school.

My name is Najaad, I'm proud parent of Sunrise Academy. Great Soccer team with many achievements and great talented athletes that go here. Amazing attitude toward learning, teachers do not tolerate missing work or failing grades. Instead they make sure students know the material and turn in work! School offers tutoring program and after school. I'm impressed with their unique curriculum that perfectly fit our kid's needs.

I had the chance to review this school in one of my visits, the school is very small in size, kids are crammed in one small class room, 30 kids or more sometimes. The Arabic teacher is an older woman who is working part time and by talking to her she stated she retired already but they brought her back. the Religion teacher is actually active and teaches kids many things, if it weren't for this teacher the school would have been evaluated under zero. the school is dirty, no cleaning happens in the parking lots nor the classrooms, nor the bathrooms, school gates are always open (specially the exit gates) allowing anyone to simply just walking or out, the security guard is an older heavier guy, and always is by the entrance gate, he is not qualified to guard anything in my opinion, his role is more of a doorman opening the entrance gate and closing it or setting up traffic cones or removing them. Principal is hardly around, she could be in the school but it's impossible to get her on the phone or even get a call back for a voicemail and the same goes for her secretary or assistants or the front desk , meeting with her even with appointment is next to impossible, making me wonder, what could be more important and very hard to resolve in this tiny space of the school that would make the principal unavailable days after days ?

Sunrise teachers seem to work really hard for the students. They do a good job of keeping in contact with parents about kids' progress. It would be nice if that communication was better for non-English speaking parents. Especially at PTO meetings!
