We love this school! It's such a warm community with a strong emphasis on social justice combined with rigorous academics. Over the past 4 years, our son's curious, joyful stance toward learning has really been nurtured. I think the school's motto captures it well: "eager minds, passionate hearts, enthusiastic spirits, brilliant futures."

Love Love Love this school!!!! My kids started last year towards the end of the school year and we are so excited to be a part of the St. Ignatius family. We transferred from a "creative" Portland Public School District Charter School where apparently academics was not top on the list. My children were so far behind academically when we started. My son was reading 2 grades below his grade level. I had him tested for an IEP through the school district and was told that his reading was average for the boys his age in the school district and was not given any extra help. This was not ok - I quickly started looking for other options. I stumbled upon St. Ignatius and am so thankful!!! I have seen remarkable advancement in my son's reading and academics as a whole. The environment is kind and caring - the staff really does care!!!!

SE Portland's best kept secret. K-8 with small class sizes, a very full curriculum (including Music, Library, PE, Art Lit, Computer, etc), full day Kindergarten with Aide, a caring and very experienced faculty and a fun, supportive community of families. St. Ignatius School provides a solid foundation for life. Students leave St. Ignatius well prepared and equipped for high school, college and life's future endeavors. I highly recommend St. Ignatius School.

Not the place for an artist or free thinker. Saint Ignatius School will restrict your child's creativity and discourage free thought and innovation. This place is hell for anyone with a creative mind.
