Our child attended the Arbor Montessori School on Jollyville since he was two years old. We loved everything about the school, the families that go there and the friends we all made. He acclimated well to the environment and learned a lot more than we expected. The teachers are so friendly and I really appreciated how they and the director planned multiple all family events throughout the year. This was a great way to meet the other kids and parents and develop friendships. They also celebrate diversity and are inclusive of everyone, it truly was an international education. I highly recommend this school to other families in Austin.

My son Aatish went to Arbor for 3 months. I am glad to have him enrolled here. He thoroughly enjoyed the environment. I clearly see the change in him. Every day he goes to the school with lot of enthusiasm which is a very good sign of how much he is having fun. Even the school environment is very pleasant with a big play area on the back. The staff/teachers are so responsible and takes optimum care of each child. If there are any issues with the child, they communicate promptly with the parents. I strongly recommend Arbor Montessori.

My son attended Arbor Montessori for a year and a half until we moved to Houston for work. He absolutely loved this school and still talks about his teachers Ms. Griselda and Ms. Luce. He was always excited to go to school and he learned so much while he was there. They truly love their kids here and it shows. If we moved back to Austin, I wouldn't hesitate to put him right back in Arbor Montessori.

I was one of those “typical” Moms who was fed billions of horrid stories about child care providers and schools etc… My first child was 18 months. She was raised with her native language. I visited many different schools for my child. There were schools that were built with impressive structures and even provided internet-cam for parents to view at any time. As I toured those schools, I looked for the classroom structure and teacher-student interactions. Nothing convinced me. Until, I toured Arbor Montessori Academy. Classroom: As teachers taught, students sat still and were visibly engaged. I even observed them raise their hands. Big sign!!! The teachers had their kids’ attention. Classrooms were clean and organized. So, I sent my 18 months old to Arbor Montessori Academy and still put this school through my microscope. I showed up unexpectedly and frequently just to see what was going on with my child. Every time I did so, here were what I saw with my own eyes: Teacher held my child and comforted her. Teacher fed my child and encouraged her to finish her lunch. Teacher washed her face and hands. My child raised her hand in her classroom when the teacher asked questions. (I watched through a glass window without letting my daughter know I was there) My child danced and laughed. After 6 weeks of witnessing all those facts, I realized that I have made a right decision sending my child there. The love these teachers showered those kids were amazing!!! Every day after that, my own child always told me which teacher tied her shoe laces that day or washed her off. She would tell me all she learnt. Before I knew it, she wrote her own name, read, adding, subtracting, understanding place values etc… Teachers (all teachers even the ones not teaching my children) have always been informative. Very friendly staff and very attentive and extremely professional. My children still think that I show up all the time since I know EVERYTHING going on with them at school. No second thoughts, I sent my second child there. After 4 years with my first child, school quality hasn’t slipped half an inch instead had raised its own standard. My second child is currently in kindergarten at Arbor. ADVANCED! My first child went through kindergarten there as well and first grade was no challenge. Kindergarten at Arbor is so vital. Big transition! All that they were taught in Montessori comes together their final kindergarten year and the transition from Montessori to traditional school was seamless for my elder daughter. Only if Arbor Montessori Academy went on to higher grades….. I would keep both my children there.

Fantastic head start for your children. I have a 2 1/2 year old that has been attending for a little over 1 year and we feel like we have given him an excellent head start in life. He counts, sings, and talks non-stop. He has an active imagination, and I believe it is a result of the school's focus on having creative time and time to learn about other cultures. The staff is attentive and communicates well with the parents. I would highly recommend Arbor Montessori, and they take children as soon as they're able to walk.
