Our children are so happy to go here. They deserve to know the Truth about how we were made and who we serve. It's wonderful to have an educational system that teaches about our Creator Father who loves us. Bless the teachers and staff at Sojourn!

I have been looking for a school that would provide my children a good foundation and then challenge them to think as they grew up. I didn't think such a school existed, and for a time I even considered home schooling them...and then we found Sojourn. They use the Classical method, which is exactly what we wanted. That it is a Christian school is the icing on the cake. I can't believe they are receiving such quality education at an affordable tuition. Having said all that, I actually believe that the best part about this school is that they really live out the Christian faith. It is not just a Christian school by name. The staff, teachers and students are nice, friendly and respectful. It is small enough that even teachers who don't teach your child know them by name. I believe that the students are accepted and celebrated for who they are, as God's creation, so they are free to be themselves. For me, that is the true essence of being a Christian school.

Our family has been with Sojourn Academy (formerly Oak Ridge Christian Academy) for 7 years now. Although it lacks flashy facilities, you would have a hard time finding a school that provides a better depth and breadth of education as Sojourn Academy provides. Moreover, this school does an exceptional job of assimilating all facets of Christian instruction (creeds, basic doctrine, and virtues that are biblically anchored and historical with the church) into the academic curriculum, and fostering Christian character in our children. My children are being given a comprehensive education that far exceeds what I was provided in my public education experience, and based on my experience as a graduate of a private university, they are being equipped to excel in whatever they choose to pursue at any college they desire. Maybe even more important is that the school and all of its members are like extended family. What a joy it is to learn -- and how much more you can learn -- in an environment where you are emotionally secure. That is certainly true for both of my daughters, especially for my younger one who has a profound speech delay. She is achieving academic goals in this supportive school to a degree I am certain could never be replicated in environments that focus merely on academics and not on true Christian love. I wholeheartedly endorse this school, and I plan on being here to see both my girls graduate from Sojourn!

This school is blessed with an over abundance of caring educators and staff who pour their hearts into the Christian classical curriculum. We enrolled our children in their Pre-K program as a bridge to get us through to kindergarten as we both work full time. Two and a half years later they are half way though second grade at Sojourn Academy. Their tuition costs are the best around for what your child will receive from this incredibly giving school. Their aftercare program is such a blessing for working parents as well as affordable. They have also partnered with a hot lunch program that focuses on more healthy alternatives for kid friendly food.

I have great friendships with many of the leadership and upper school teachers, and I can personally attest to their love for Jesus and their excellent character. If you are not yet familiar with the classical model of education (the Trivium), do some research. You will be impressed.
