Messiah Lutheran Classical Academy

One outstanding academy and the faculty is fantastic! The classical education and it's up to date curriculum will prepare your child to become a great leader of tomorrow. Christian moral and ethics your youngones will also be brought with compassion and care for others. You would find yourself padding yourself in the back for making the decision of enrolling.

☆PEOPLE ATTENTION☆ I went to this school for 5 years of my life kindergarten-4th grade and by far the best education I had received I was a mainly a straight A student with a few B's here and there but I made it by these teachers were my family and showed the love and support I needed when I had rough times as a child and now I'm a freshman in a public school and am struggling to get by and I wish I had never left this school. This school needs to open their highschool back up so I may re enroll because I desperately need it and need to be back with Jesus and the family that helped raise me.

The preschool at MLCA has far exceeded my expectations. I work in the area of early childhood and have access to many preschools and daycares in the area to compare programs, staff, and curriculum. I am continually impressed with the curriculum and the loving, caring staff at MLCA. Every day begins with the entire school (two year olds through high school) joining together in chapel to praise the Lord and lift each other up in prayer. My children (ages two and five) have gained an amazing amount of biblical knowledge and understanding. My two year old is already able to recite the Lord’s Prayer. My five year old asks me questions about such things as the ten commandments, sin, and various bible stories that indicate to me that she is not only being taught Biblical truths, but she is being taught in such a manner that keeps her attentive, interested, and seeking to understand His Word. In regards to academic instruction, MLCA follows the time tested method of classical education, which I know builds a firm foundation of knowledge in all areas. I see the evidence every day when my two year old recognizes his name or points out several letters he knows in a story we are reading together, or when my five year old tells me all about volcanos or reads and recognizes words before she has even entered kindergarten. Because the preschool at MLCA uses repetition and recitation along with hands on activities, movement, and sensory experiences to keep my preschoolers engaged, my children are flourishing academically. Finally, the staff at MLCA love and care for my children greatly. From the Head Master all the way to the office staff, every person knows each of my children, truly loves and cares for them, and most importantly lives out Christian examples for my children to follow. I highly recommend MLCA for preschool and beyond.

Rarely do I take the time to write a review such as this. However, having been that parent who desperately seeks what is best for their children, it seemed necessary to share our family experience with this academy over the last 3 years. Since being at MLCA, I can't recall one day that our children were not excited about going to school. Being a witness to this every morning, is a daily confirmation that our children are where the Lord intends for them to be and those whom we have entrusted at MLCA have been tremendous stewards with our most precious gifts. One thing that seems to set the course for their day and is very important to our family, is beginning each day with Chapel and giving Him their first. Even though this occurs on a daily basis, my observations during my random visits to Chapel have affirmed that this time has remained reverent and not a mere ritual. In regards to curriculum, it is a Classical model that at times can be challenging because of the workload. Our children have always responded to the challenges and as a result, it is has taught us as parents how resilient our children can be when a positive expectation is established. The Classical model although challenging, is an established model of education and seems to be a great fit for our children who tend to thrive in a structured environment. The one thing that is difficult to verbally describe, is the manner in which our children are loved by the staff at MLCA. I suppose since the school and classes are smaller than average along with genuine love by the MLCA staff, there is a warmth you experience as a parent that is priceless. We have made significant investments with MLCA over the last three years for our children's education, but it remains far and away our best investment. If you happen to be looking for a place for your children where they will be loved and challenged in a manner that brings God glory, please be prayerful and consider MLCA.

We removed our child from this school, even though last year we had a wonderful experience with our other child. This school has drastically changed since last year. Their emphasis, according to their staff, is on play. Our child was missing out on basic things like the alphabet. Our suggestion is to really research ALL the schools in the area, and get a feel of the schools by visiting them, prior to enrolling your child in this school.
