DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. It may be rough but programs such as this leave long term damage and distrust. Consult a third party specialist at the very least.

Can't believe this place is still open. I attended this school when I was a teen, they had me so zonked out of my mind on 4-6 different medications it took me 3 solid days of sleep to detox. I still deal with the trauma of the other boys and the treatment I received while I was basically imprisoned there to this day. And I don't want to hear you say you didn't have a patient by the name of Reaves because I was there in person

Our family is alumni of Sundance Canyon Academy, as our son Jake attended and graduated the program. I have a background as an MD with insight into some of the special needs families and adolescents have, but have a hard time attaining, and we needed the help too. I can attest first hand that this is the most amazing program that we could have ever chosen! This program has changed all of our family's lives and especially our son's in the most positive way, and they will help yours too! From the incredible counselors and therapist, staff, facilities, location, program curriculum, growth and leadership phases, activities, cooking experiences, community volunteering, nature outings and trips, skills building and aftercare program, just to name a few, they all get the highest marks from me. All of the staff who works there, you could tell they weren't just showing up to a job, rather, they came to work invested with a passion in helping our children improve their lives. I'm confident you will have made the right choice if you entrust Sundance Canyon Academy!

This program misrepresented itself to my sister and I when we took a tour before deciding to send my nephew here. They lied about many things and we have found that the facility is not at all how they portray themselves. Upon coming home he told us of how the staff would go as far as to making fun of the kids but would never be held accountable. I wish we would have known before enrolling him because the owners still refuse to take any responsibility for the mistreatment of my nephew because they are only interested in protecting themselves as a business.

I was a student at one point in this facility about 2 years ago. I used to hate this place like some of the kids in the reviews. If it was not for Sundance I would not be going to college or anything like that. I was on a crossroad in life and Sundance helped me get choose the right path. Some kids I felt did not need the treatment but that is a family matter at the end of the day. Overall, Sundance shaped my life in positive way and taught me independence, how to be a productive member for society, and how to battle any addiction you may come across in life and I’m glad I learned this as a teenager instead of an adult. If this is one of the last options for your child I highly recommend it.
