My son was struggling and frustrated with school until we found Realms of Inquiry. Since coming to Realms 3 years ago, he has experienced phenomenal personal growth. He loves going to school, is more confident in his abilities, and has been taking on leadership roles. The instructors and staff have developed personal relationships with him and are invested in his success. Realms provides experiences that encourage him to think for himself, and a supportive environment that enables him to make mistakes and learn from them. We are both thrilled with Realms!

Here's a long view. I had two children attend Realms, and it was one of the best experiences both for their education and for life. They are now in their 20s. The one who spent several years at Realms has since organized wilderness and adventure trips to many countries, and is now completing his MBA. He came to Realms' middle school with an aversion to reading and writing, but built so much confidence at the school that he is now a voracious reader and writes with ease. Our second son spent just one year there, and thrived on the music and sound-engineering coaching he received there. He is now an expert in his area of music. Both children had been unengaged in regular school. Realms made school a completely different experience, and they have the independent thinking and confidence to show for it.

Realms is unique - a school that understands the differences that bright and gifted teens live with every day. Such children do not always fit the 'norm'. Realms gave our two children a chance to learn as they needed to learn - sometimes faster; sometimes wider; sometimes according to their own individual style - ways that allowed our independent students a chance to develop as they were made to develop. That is a beautiful and necessary thing for certain students. All we can say is "Thank you!" There is a lot of flexibility at Realms. If your child has an internal motor that drives them in a certain direction, then Realms will allow that motor to reach its goal. If your child sees the world differently because he or she is made for something particular, then Realms will engage that difference and allow it to blossom. Most of these children are the creative and brilliant individuals that society needs. It's worth valuing that so that everyone's future might benefit. Furthermore, Realms has a great outdoors curriculum that expands the students' capacities above and beyond, causing them to mature into people who actively engage with the world. Again, thank you Realms!
