We have two children (4 and 1.5) at the LePort School in Aldie and love it! We did significant research into daycare and private schools in our area and have found LePort to be a great fit for us. It is a true Montessori school with certified Montessori teachers in each classroom, including the infant program. This is difficult to find, ESPECIALLY with an infant program. Both kids have really thrived while at LePort and we have been impressed with the "challenging work" that they both do in their classes. The teachers are absolutely wonderful and really seem to care about the kids. My four year old frequently tells me over the weekend that he misses his teachers and can't wait to go back to school. This was the best feedback we could hope to get. We have also found the administration to be very responsive and helpful. We are very happy with LePort and highly recommend it.

I can say that this Montessori was the best choice we made for our children’s education. At such a young age, both our children are so eager to go to school and work every day. They bring their lessons home with a sense of accomplishment. The teachers and the Montessori environment at Leport has been very instrumental in their development.

My son was on the overflow list for our zoned school so my husband and I searched out alternative school options. We scheduled a visit at the LePort Montessori in Aldie and were greeted by Misha with open arms! She was hands down the most gracious and sincere we could have ever hoped for. Her genuine enthusiasm for education and a true Montessori environment was evident in every word she spoke. Though we hadn't committed to anything, Misha made us feel like we were already a part of the family! Through the next several days we corresponded several times and fortunately/unfortunately at the 11th hour our son got a spot in our zoned elementary school so we had to decline the offer for LePort. Through it all Misha was such an amazing person and never made us feel anything other than completely welcome. I have traveled all over this country and many places overseas and I can tell you that Misha is beyond a doubt one of the best people a business/organization could ever have as the person to greet potential clients/customers. If anyone is thinking of Montessori I suggest you check out LePort and let Misha put all your questions to rest. LePort is certainly lucky to have her on their staff as I'm absolutely certain she is a huge reason they are able to bring in so many great families to their school!

We have put two children through Montessori (2&1/2 years - lower elementary). We started with the Boyd school which was purchased by LePort. We have since also experienced public and parochial elementary. By far, we prefer the Montessori method of education that "follows the child" and allows children to pursue learning in a more individual and stimulating way. Truly, I believe this is the only method of education (other than perhaps homeschooling) that really does individualize education. A traditional classroom (public and parochial) doesn't even come close. LePort is a true Montessori school and in the elementary (our experience with LePort) the administrators honor the knowledge and passion of the teacher, providing support and the backbone for a thriving classroom. Another personal experience: our son left Montessori for one year, for first grade. In the year away, when we asked about school or his day, we'd get answers like "school is ok" and "I don't know what we did today" to this year, back in Montessori where he's ready to go in the morning and rushing me out the door so he can get to school early and start his work. And at the end of the day now, he fully shares details of his day taking care of the animals in the class and learning about their environment; his "epic math problem"; his individual research projects or what he learned in cooking or mandarin class. I highly recommend taking the time to schedule a visit to the school, a talk with the administrators and teachers and observation of a classroom. Montessori is one of the best parenting decisions we've made for our children and we are excited for what is to come for our son at LePort.

I have nothing but great things to say about the school. We checked out every single daycare that responded to us within a 5 mile radius and decided against all of them, mostly because they weren't the quality we expected. That's when we came across LePort. What we are most happy with is the high quality of teachers, the program and life lessons they have going on, and the regular updates on the progress of our two children. Though a tad on the pricey side, every penny is worth it.
