Faith Lutheran School (FLS) is incredible! We are quickly wrapping up our first year here and my son has enjoyed it so much. I have watched him blossom from a shy, quiet, toddler into an outgoing, chatty, little guy. His absolute pleasure when running up the ramp to his classroom tells me how much he loves this place. The teachers are patient, incredibly friendly, and passionate about the kids. Being a first time parent they have made me feel very well supported and never brushed aside any concerns that I have had about my child. It is a wonderful school and community and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Truly a hidden treasure that I am so very grateful for.

All three of our children have attended Faith Lutheran's preschool program. We can't say enough good things about it. First of all, the staff. They definitely make each individual child a priority based on their individual strengths. The teachers and Early Childhood Director have very open communication and truly show a genuine concern for your child. They will give you tips on areas of improvement but also celebrate your child's strengths. Our older two children were more than prepared for elementary school and have continued to excel due to the great start at Faith. The teachers have done an amazing job focusing in on our youngest child's strengths and helping him to excel in preschool. Schedule a tour today or drop by for a visit. Faith Lutheran School in Redmond is excellent place for kids. All of our 3 kids attended the school. Teachers focus on each individual student, building their strength. Kids made a lot of interesting projects, they learned a lot of new things. Teachers showed passions and patient. Our kids were always excited going to the school. FLS prepared our children very well for elementary school.

Fantastic school, wonderful staff! Both of my children have attended Faith Lutheran school of Redmond and loved it. The kids are allowed to work at their own level- especially great in elementary school! The kids are never bored as they are always challenged with work at their level, not what the grade level is currently doing. People are kind, and you feel like you've left your child with family. Tuition is reasonable. I cannot say enough about Faith! Go check it out no matter what your religion, they are not teaching Lutheran doctrine, just good moral values.

Our experience in the FLS Preschool was horrible. The Director overreaches her title by acting as a childhood development specialist, far exceeding her expertise. Class descriptions can change midyear, and she can choose at whim to do daily “assessments” on any child she sees fit. We were told our child was developmentally behind, potentially disabled, and that he should be put back in the class with younger children or given a 1:1 aide. We took the paperwork to our pediatrician/childhood development specialist, both Dr's encouraged us to pull our son from the school. The Director was unprofessional, inappropriate and inaccurate. Other parents experienced similar “assessments” from this Director as well. She stresses communication is key but does not honor it. Neither does the school board, who denied our request to meet with them. I encourage anyone considering this school to drop by at odd hours to observe what is going on. Ask about the teachers and how long they have been at the school. Ask about what children do in each class. Our child spent 4 months in the TODDS class and never came home with artwork/schoolwork. Now in a new school, he happily participates in arts/crafts, loves coloring/tracing, cleans up well but is still working on circle time, and happily plays with all the children without incident or concern. If your preschooler is the model student, always compliant, and never tantrums or resists, then the FLS may be the school for you. If your preschooler is “average” like mine, move on and find another program.
