If you are a parent wanting your child to become introduced to martial arts, then this is probably the place for you. There is a good chance your child will not get any injuries with this establishment's teaching and training style. However, if you are wanting to train for competition, then McKenzie Martial Arts is probably NOT the place for you. Their teaching style is very soft and not aggressive enough to prepare anyone for the competitive environment. You will definitely learn martial arts material, but you will not be acclimated to the dynamism and spontaneity of an aggressive confrontation, and you will not have experience with reacting while under the influence of your own adrenaline.

Why I train at MMA: It's real self defense It feels great It's challenging and rewarding Everyone is welcome It helps me break free of my limitations Why you should try it: • Voted #1 in Lane County 5+ years running • Comprehensive self defense that works • Outstanding instruction from highly qualified staff • Positive atmosphere for everyone who trains • If you're willing to put in work, MMA will help you get comfortable in uncomfortable situations, train mind and body to work together, and earn confidence in yourself. IF YOU HAVE KIDS: If you teach your kids to swim, teach them to defend themselves. Self-defense has all of the benefits of swimming, and kids spend much more of their time in areas and activities where they might need it.
