I travel a great deal for my job so I train at different schools while on the road to ensure I get the mat time (I'm a blue belt). I have been exposed to the big name-brand chains to the small school. A clear benefit of such variety is exposure to different instructors, each with his own style and approach. When visiting Method, the quality of instruction was apparent within the first five minutes. Andrew's thoughtful approach to identifying and clearly explaining the nuances of each move, an extraordinarily difficult skill, in my opinion, is one of the best I have been exposed to. Further, the school (and each member) was welcoming while giving each move, repetition, and roll and true and honest effort. I plan to come back each time I come to Edmonton.

Coming from a different school, I am so proud Method BJJ is now my place I call home. Besides the super helpful and friendly training partners, the instruction is truly something special. Professor Andrew brings his vast martial arts and movement aptitude, sense of humour, and attention to detail every day to the mats. It is encouraging to be part of such a great environment. Highly recommend!

I have some previous martial arts experience and was interested in becoming acquainted with BJJ. I'm very happy I picked Method. Great (black-belt) instruction; great class sizes and training partners. Great dojo. if you have even an inkling that you'd like to come out and try it - you should - and this is the place to do it.

I've trained at Method for almost two months and I am extremely satisfied with my experience thus far. The curriculum is well organized, the instruction is insightful, and the atmosphere is relaxed and fun. The only drawbacks I can think of are the smallish change rooms and the occasional mugginess of the space, neither of which have detracted from my BJJ experience. I would strongly recommend checking it out!

My two children have been taking jiu jitsu here for about two years and it's been fantastic for both of them, for very different reasons. My son needs lots of exercise and often has trouble focusing so the instructor's clear expectations and engaging teaching style have been great for him. My daughter tends to be timid so it's been wonderful to watch her confidence grow in this class. It's a great group of students and the instruction is exceptional!
