I have two children that attend classes at KOMA and we love it! My oldest started when he was 3 and he is now a blackbelt. Everyone at KOMA pushed him along the way to do his best both in class as well as in life outside of class. We pass many other studios on our dive there that are closer, but we love everything about KOMA so much that we think it's worth the extra drive. Everyone demands respect, but they are patient, kind and respectful to everyone while they do it and throughout their teaching and interactions with students and parents. We love KOMA and can't imagine going anywhere else!

KOMA is an amazing place. We have two daughters in their programs and love the Owner, Master Ko, and the staff. We feel that KOMA is preparing our daughters for much more than self-defense. We enrolled them just to work on their self-defense skills, but Master Ko and his team are teaching self-confidence, performing in front of a crowd, and persevering....all in a warm and positive environment. If you are new to Taekwando, or are looking to change studios, this is the best place in the Kansas City Metro Area.

Our son started here as a white belt almost 2 and a half years ago and is now about to test for his black belt this fall. I can't say enough about the phenomenal teachers at KOMA. They set expectations high, but always find supportive and motivating ways to help kids reach them. I wouldn't have wanted him on this journey anywhere else. They have helped our son work on his patience, perseverance, and managing his own expectations of himself. It has been so fun to watch him develop a passion for martial arts and we know that will carry him far.

My 12 year old daughter has been at KOMA for 1 year. The difference it has made in her self confidence is remarkable. She has always excelled at school but has not enjoyed team sports. At KOMA it is an all inclusive environment NOT exclusive. Master Ko and his team is about every student performing to the best of their ability. They accomodate students with special needs and promote individual success. We plan for Kayla to earn her black belt at KOMA. Also there are NO contracts, they want you to stay because you want to not because of a contract.

I started Taekwondo at Ko Martial Arts when I was 6 years old (10 years ago). Now at the age of 16, I have earned my 3rd degree black belt and have become an Assistant Instructor at the studio. Ko Martial Arts has given me strength, confidence, responsibility and most importantly the will to do good in the community as a straight A student and role model. I am also a Type 1 Diabetic and the support that KOMA has given me is undeniable, from friends getting me through rough times to the grit that has been instilled into me the past 10 years. The service given by KOMA and the character that has consumed me, is priceless. I could not have asked for a better environment to grow up in! I can now officially say I feel comfortable going out into the world and succeed in whatever I set my mind to!
