Scott and Uriel are great instructors and they take the time to demonstrate new moves and make sure you understand as you practice. Classes here have been a great mix of cardio and learning fundamentals. Definitely recommend this place for those who are new to kickboxing like myself.

Budo is a fantasic gym to train at. I have been going here for about 5 years and although I travel a lot one of the things I look forward to most about returning to Vancouver is getting back to training at Budo. Scott, Uriel, Dan and Ahraz provide such diverse and dynamic classes. All the coaches are so knowledgeable and approachable, it's a great environment for learning and developing your skills. They will work with you to develop your own style and work extra hours to help students prepare for tournaments and competitions. Budo really is like a family. Everyone there is positive and supportive. Your first day/week/month of starting martial arts can be so challenging, adapting your cardio to Muay Thai and just figuring out what you are supposed to do in Jiu Jitsu, but the coaches and fellow students are always ready to give you that extra encouragement to get through the round, and just help you get through that initial confusion of starting jiu jitsu. Thanks guys! I can't wait to come back!!

Very good place! The teachers there have taught, and helped my brother and I a lot on our first month there.

Great experience overall. I've had my child at this location for over 4 years. The teachers are great and even introduced other friends to Budo. Scott and the rest of the teachers/helpers teaching ethics are top notch. We will continue to come as our child loves to learn Jiujitsu.
