I've attended several drop in lessons in this space and they've always made me feel welcome and are non-judgemental while doing so. Learning new things is hard! The lessons were well formatted and super fun, an interesting mix of history and work out. Customer service is great.

Edit: I have read your response, and I would like to take you up on your offer. I have bumped the review up to 3 stars for the fact that you have reached out to me. I would be happy to bump it up to 5 after another lesson, assuming it goes well. I actually had a horrible time here. Sad, because I was so passionate about learning to wield a sword. But my instructor looked down on me, and made me feel weak because I didn't understand what it was that he wanted me to do. When I asked a question like "can you explain the technique one more time please" he would have such a disappointed look on his face. My instructor also wanted to spar with me using just the new techniques that we learned. Than, he would use different techniques, such as grabbing my sword arm and pulling it away and than taking a slash at me (something we didn't learn in the whole month I was there) He'd tell me to go slow, but he would speed up to make sure I wasn't able to hit him? how ridiculous. I could go on, but what's the point, this review will fall on deaf ears. I was asked to complete a survey, and I did. I did make my concerns known, and it was never followed up on. Onore, Arte, Ardore - Skill, Passion, Honour. Something I think your school needs to work on.

Very unique place, almost like a museum. There’re 2 sides of the room without a divider, so it gets very noisy and hard to hear the instructors. Nice staff and fun classes.

This was a very Nice visit on my journey of discovery through Vancouver. I saw an enthousiastic teacher initiate both younger and older studentes in the mystical world(at least for me) of sword fighting.
