My husband and I first enrolled our children in Seikido about two years ago because it was important to us that they knew how to protect themselves. My husband had been a part of Seikido through out his growing years so we already knew there was only one place we would consider in the Lower Mainland. After seeing how much fun our kids were having, we started training very soon after. I can say without question that this is the largest representation of kind, caring and humble people that I have ever met in one place. Although belt colour varies with experience, what you will notice is that everyone is the same in that they are all just good people trying their best to improve themselves in and out of the dojo. Seikido is an authentic martial arts school with a long respectable lineage and I am consistently in awe of the knowledge that is shared with us. Seikido prepares you to be able to defend yourself in any type of scenario and equips you with only the most practical tools and abilities. I can not say enough good things about this school or how important I think it is for every person to know how to defend themselves. For my family and I, it has given us a common passion that we can share together in and out of class. All the greatest martial artists in the world owe their skills to great teachers.

From the first class I took twenty seven years ago I was hooked. I had taken other martial arts classes before, but Seikido is the most comprehensive and engaging style I've seen. Which is why my sons and I continue to train in Seikido to this day. The professionalism and depth of knowledge of the instructors is amazing. From white belt to black belt, training in the dojo has always been a rewarding experience that keeps you coming back for more. This is a style that has something for everyone and can be practiced for life. While it teaches real life self defense skills combined with traditional martial arts training geared for today's world, it is done in a professional and family oriented environment.

everyone here was very supportive and forgiving, helped me in every way they could., Sensei was a great teacher at both martial arts and things in life like notice the details, even after I leave I will never forget this place, never even felt like a school because everyone was like a family.

Martial arts as it should be. I was leery starting a martial arts program, as I had never done anything of the sort before. I didn't want to join a club where I would be forced to fight and that used brutality as a teaching method. Seikido is none of that. The environment is so welcoming, both students and teachers are respectful, and not intimidating. This is a place where you come to learn practical life skills as well as offering a chance to increase physical and mental health. The teachers are knowledgeable, patient, helpful, and understand that the learning process is different for each student. The gym is always immaculate; the equipment, modern. As an adult learner, coming to Seikido was the best decision I've made.

Joining Seikido has been one of the best decisions I've made. It's fun, athletic, and practical. Seikido is a well rounded martial arts style that teaches striking, rolls and break falls, take downs, self-defense, and joint articulations. Sensei Wayne and Doshu plan classes so that you're always perfecting the basics while learning new skills. Best of all, this is a family club and the community is the most supportive I've come across in my time in martial arts. From the beginners to the black belts, everyone is so welcoming and kind. Whatever your goals are this club will help you achieve them.
