Top-notch lion dance performances and kung fu in Vancouver

This is one of the best lion dance teams in all of Vancouver and the lower mainland. Very professional to deal with when booking and their showmanship is the best I've seen. They also do dragon dances (I've seen them at parades and other events) and the kung fu demonstrations I've seen are amazing and show the difference that many years of training can make. I would definitely recommend them for your next event. They do weddings primarily but also have done corporate events, community appearances, etc.

We absolutely LOVED working with Chau Luen Athletic Club for the Lion Dance we booked for a surprise birthday celebration. The team is so professional, well organized, quick to communicate & make arrangements, and really explained the details and cultural significance of the Lion Dance. Would high recommend this crew to anybody interested. Thank you for such a memorable experience!

I've seen lion dances in movies and at other events, but to have one for your special day brings a whole new meaning of "A Special Moment". From the drumming to the beautifully choreographed dance, these guys do it the best. It really adds that special bit to any wedding, birthday, special event or corporate event. The team was very organized and sat down with us to go over expectations and walked us through exactly what to do. Great experience 10 stars if I could leave more than 5. Thanks!

We’re so grateful to Mike, Andrew, Jessica, and the team for their kindness, patience, creativity, and professionalism. They were an absolute dream and joy to work with for our wedding. Also so appreciative of them for keeping such an important cultural practice asset alive and well for future generations. Highly recommend working with this community-forward and minded troupe!

Best lion dance in Vancouver! Saw them at my friend's wedding out in Surrey and it was phenomenal. Completely unexpected as it was a secret performance (not on the program) but when they started drumming and doing acrobatic moves, the place went crazy. I had never seen one in person but with how cool it looked, it kind of made me want to try it for myself!

I recently joined Chau Luen after seeing their Lion Dance at Vancouver's LNY parade. They seemed really professional and had this amazing energy so I had to find out more. I also heard about how they had crowd-pleasing performances at weddings, major corporate events, etc. Let me tell you, aside from Lion Dance and Dragon Dance, their kung fu training is exceptional. I was skeptical at first (I come from years of Taekwondo training), but learning all these new techniques feels so rewarding and fun. Not only because I get in better shape and learn valuable self defence skills, but because everyone in class is so welcoming, especially to new people and people who might be intimidated trying new things. Would definitely recommend this club to anyone interested in traditional martial arts and performances!
