Enjoy the women defence classes .

I started at Plum Blossom Martial Arts academy almost 2 and a half years ago and I was immediately impressed by the quality of the material taught there and the friendliness of the staff, specially to brand new beginners. I enrolled together with my two children(5 and 6 year old at the time) and I noticed an almost immediate change for the better in their attention spams, academic performance and overall discipline. During my first year I lost around 6-8 pounds and got into probably the best shape of my life(considering that I played University level competitive soccer). The instruction at this academy is pretty well balanced, covering weapons, self defense(applications), and overall fitness. The Tai chi classes are also specially engaging and great for individuals looking for a complimentary activity for recovering from serious joint/back injuries. I had two knee surgeries, and after one year of Tai chi my knee completely has healed to pre-injury levels. I highly recommend the Plum Blossom martial arts academy, as the quality of the instruction is second to none.

I have been going to Plum Blossom to learn Tai Chi for a little over one and a half years. Having retired from a 25 year career in law enforcement with numerous physical limitations and chronic medical conditions, including psoriatic arthritis and PTSD, I joined Plum Blossom to take Tai Chi at the recommendation of several of my doctors and therapists. Not knowing what to expect, I can happily say that joining the Plum Blossom family and learning Tai Chi was one of the best decisions I ever made in my life. I had always been an active person, but for medical reasons I had to change my exercise and fitness routines and my overall mindset as to how I could continue being fit and active and improve my overall mental and physical health. Tai Chi has been challenging, enjoyable, more physically demanding than I anticipated and exactly what I was looking for and needed. Learning Tai Chi at Plum Blossom has helped me with relaxation, stress management, fitness and muscle retention, balance, coordination, flexibility, being mindful and my ability to focus / concentrate. The instructors at Plum Blossom are excellent. They are very knowledgeable, supportive, caring, committed, attentive and patient. The facility is clean and comfortable with sufficient room to accommodate tai chi students of different levels. The instructors provide a motivating and respectful environment in which to train and learn. Tai Chi is a lifelong learning pursuit and it's something I can practice at home or when traveling and with no need for specialized equipment. I had always wanted to learn a martial art, but didn't have the time nor had I discovered a discipline that fit my health needs. That is, until I found this gem of a place. Plum Blossom has opened my eyes to the martial art of Tai Chi and given me more than I could have ever hoped for. I feel fortunate to have come across such a wonderful place and such wonderful people.

I have been attending Plum Blossom for just over a year with my two sons, and it has been an incredible journey. My youngest used to be very accident prone, and while he isn't quite moving like a cat yet, he's become significantly more coordinated and confident with training at the school. His brother previously lacked confidence in himself and his abilities and talents and the students and staff at the school have immensely helped him find his voice and believe in himself. I love the art and ethic of kung fu, searched for the right school for many years and finally found Plum Blossom. I've previously trained in Brazilian jiu jitsu and sikaran arnis and never felt as fulfilled and complete as when I leave class from Plum Blossom. Great facilities, amazing teachers and staff, well rounded scheduling and class offerings to fit every one in the family. 5 stars for Plum Blossom Martial Arts on all counts, come down and watch and try out the free classes. You won't find a better class in town.
