While we aren't currently students at AKF Martial Arts, it wasn't because of bad instruction or experience. Simply because we are moving earlier than expected. I took my son to a trial class and can confidently vouch for Mr.Joes professionalism. Hes great with all the kids he comes across and you can really tell he loves what he does. I highly suggest trying this place out.

My son has participated in classes at AKF for the past year and is a better young man for it. Kyuki'do is about more than punching or mastering a particular sequence of moves - Mr. Joe emphasizes the mind, body and spirit in a fun way for the participants. Lessons of respect, kindness, self-control are all part of the curriculum. And these characteristics are important both on the mat and in our daily lives. Thanks, Mr. Joe!

Our daughter joined AKF a little over a year ago. In that time, as expected from any martial arts school, she has gained more self confidence, become physically stronger, made new friends, and has been given opportunities to prove herself as a leader. What we were not expecting were the multiple community involvement activities, exciting and fun team building events, and the motivational life lessons that are taught at each class by the instructor, Joe Moniot. Mr. Joe, as the kids call him, is a dedicated professional with only the best interest for his students and their families. He puts his heart and soul into this school and he is the reason that AKF stands out from other martial arts schools in Lexington. Try if for yourself to see what makes him the BEST!

My son joined the AKF family over a year ago. Gabriel suffers from ADHD and self control is an issue. We wanted no needed to find him something he would love and at the same time could help him learn to focus. Little did I know then we would find so much more. Mr. Joe cares about all of his students and takes the time to discover what each ones own needs are. It was not long that my husband and I could sit on side lines being still. We are now a family of future black belts!! We have been so blessed to be a part of this school/family and would recommend this type of encouraging fun to all.
