After learning Karv maga at Elite Martial Arts I have come to know how ineffectively a traditional martial art prepares you for real life. The techniques I learnt there was devastating and effective as well as easy to learn. Right from instructor to the staff, all are great here. I feel confident and powerful from within now. Thanks for all your help and instruction. You have changed my life and perspective of life.

Amazing atmosphere and training. After only 1 trial class I was in love with the training regiment and teaching style of Lawrence. The other students there are incredibly supportive and there is a real sense of camaraderie. The best words to describe EMA are intensity and fun!

One of the best decisions I've ever made was to join Elite Martial Arts. I feel much more physically stronger, faster, and healthier, and over all more confident, especially in my ability to defend myself. The belt tests are some of the hardest, yet most rewarding things I've ever done. The instructors are welcoming, experienced and extremely knowledgeable, but most importantly they're great teachers who connect on a personal level. They've built a great community here, and I will always recommend them to anyone thinking of becoming the best version of their self.

I’ve taken classes in Elite Martial Art North York location under the instruction from Lawrence Chen and many other instructors for over a year now, and I can honestly say this is truly an amazing place to learn self-defense and martial art. If you’ve never taken martial art classes and is a bit intimated by the idea of combat sports, then this is exactly the perfect place for you. Not only the instructors are super knowledgeable, but the environment is also friendly, and the best of all is that everyone is trying to help each other to learn and grow. There are so many martial arts places in Toronto, but what makes Elite Martial Art stand out are: -A safe & Friendly place to learn and grow * as mentioned, the environments are simply great for beginners and experienced practitioners to advance their skills. Everyone is super friendly and always try to help each other. -Challenge Curriculum * Every semester is three months for you to learn, review and practice new skills to test yourself at the end of 3 months. You will have a goal to work on, and the test gets harder and harder as you’d also advance yourself. It’s a great way to make sure you are really improving and learning. -Practical * Krav Maga was originated for the purpose of self-defense, everything you learn here is practical and real. The instructors are continually training and learning new skills themselves to bring you the most effective ways for self-defense. I particularly like the weapon defense training because no other martial arts are teaching it, but this will often be the scariest scenario you encounter on the street. So better learn it now! -Muay Thai & others * The school also combined with Muay Thai training for you to improve your kicking, striking and elbowing, which is considered the best striking martial art. And if you’re worried about the ground game, the school also covers lots of ground skills for you to get up safely, get out quickly and avoided getting choked. and finally, you will get in shape and lose weight if that’s your goal! I came to the school already with pretty good shape and cardio, but the training really pushed me to the next levels, and I have become even stronger and better. All in all, I strongly recommend you to give this school a try. You will be impressed!

I started training at the EMA North York location shortly after they opened and it's been the best decision I've made. Krav Maga is physically challenging and an amazing workout, but more than that, the instructors, Lawrence and Maria, are incredible teachers and mentors. They are patient and foster a supportive and cohesive school community for all of us to push and challenge each other. They believed in me and pushed me to achieve more than I even thought I could! You won't regret coming here.
