If you are trying to decide, GO HERE! This is widely known as the best place in the city.. Excellent instruction, and great staff. Side note: the best workout I've ever had. Highly recommend!!

Beware of their contracts!!! I signed up for a 6 month contract and kept getting charged because it apparently automatically renews on its own. I tried to call the front desk to explain the situation. The man on the other end of the line was so rude! He pretty much told f*k off and deal with it at my bank then cut me off... This place deserves a 0 star rating for customer service! Totally awful!

I tried to get a job here, unfortunately I didn’t get in but the things I know about this place is great! They even offer free lessons and it must be great telling people they can learn for free! I met the owner here and had a great real conversation with him during my interview. They won many competitions and their credentials are definitely prestige! I’m still a great advocate of bitcoin though!

I started in the white belts only class in August 2017 and the instructors are great. The classes start with a 10 minutes warm up and then the instructors show the technique, every time the explanations are great and then we have the chance to practice and to be corrected, they show about 2 more similar techniques and the last 15 minutes of the class is sparring. There’s also women only class but it’s a bit more advanced and there are higher belts. Advanced classes on the second floor for blue belts and up are mainly drilling and sparring. Great instructors and many training partners of different sizes, levels and physical shape, many classes and great schedule. There’s surly a place for everyone there. I see room for improvement in the change rooms though.

I've been going to Toronto BJJ for about 10 months now and it's a pretty good place to learn BJJ. I only visited other gyms (did not train regularly) so I can't compare level of instruction much so take this with a grain of salt. Instruction: The instructors are pretty good, you do get enough attention as personal feedback. As I said, I don't have much experience to compare. Schedule: Probably the best thing about this gym, there are classes all day. Location: Great, very close to subway. Students: Great people! Pretty much all the students are motivated, nice and gentle people. There are just a lot of people and mats do get very crowded sometimes. Facilities: Poor. There are no fountains, the entire gym is cluttered a lot of times. Changing rooms are really super basic. I got my pants stolen one time so don't leave valuable stuff in changing rooms. Hygiene: Poor. I never felt this place is clean.Even though I love dogs, there are dogs walking on the mats, even during the class. Thankfully I have no allergies. Cost: A BJJ gym is similar to a yoga studio (instructors & a large studio/mat space) and this gym is much more expensive than some of the best yoga studios in Toronto. This is probably a standard in BJJ so it's normal.
