The teachers are experienced, but the service is poor and in general there isn't good communication between the staff ant he students. I took a few classes here and the teaching quality is reasonable, but one time I showed up on time for the 7:15 class, but wasn't allowed to join it, because the staff questioned me for a few minutes until it was about 7:16, and it was too late to join it (The instructor was still sitting at the desk, asking me questions, not yet teaching). They were also not OK with me paying after the class (which I'd done before with no problem), and insisted that I pay before. I felt quite annoyed by the situation, as you would be if you were told to wait 45 minutes for another class (intermediate, and I'm only a beginner). All in all, I feel that they are quite focused on teaching the sport but do not really want to interact with their customers beyond that, which detracts from the atmosphere of the place. They should be OK with people coming 5 minutes before a 45 minute class, too.

The instructor here is wonderful, I would totally give him 5 stars. I really liked it and wanted to be regular, but unfortunately joined on Jan 17th. My dog had a surgery and I told them I wanted to start in Feb 1st week, which they agreed to, but the weather was horrible with the storms and I was not going to be able to make it. Then I realized that distance was too much for me and if I can't go there on most days, then I should discontinue. So I asked them for a refund, since I paid for a month. I wanted a refund after they charged me for the two classes I attended, but their manager refused a refund, saying it's not their policy. I also showed them the Ontario consumer laws, which clearly list Martial Arts classes in a list of places which are supposed to refund your money, as much as gyms and so on. I don't understand why people would want money for classes one hasn't attended. So be aware of this when u join them, because even if the instructors are good, the whole place makes a difference to the student.

Best capoeira academy in toronto. Super friendly staff who are always willing to help anyone, especially beginners. I especially like that they speak both Portuguese and English which is good for those who cant particularly speak English too well. Literally no complains. Its like a huge, amazing, welcoming family :)

This is a great martial arts class as the kids learn self defense in a fun and entertaining way. They are able to strengthen their bodies, learn coordination and learn to dance and sing too. The instructors are very knowledgeable, warm and friendly. My 4 year old always looks forward in coming in to class.
