I started training at Bamboo 4 years after training kickboxing and wushu elsewhere. The wealth of knowledge that Kin Sze brings to the table is tremendous. He has taught me everything I know about distancing, timing, creating space and fundamental best practices for real striking. 5 stars. High level, holistic martial arts training .. from strategy, to concepts, to conditioning, to execution. At Bamboo, I am always discovering high level striking secrets, being brought to question what really works, and faced with asking myself whether I'm really learning real stuff or faking the funk.

Bamboo Kung Fu is a great place to train. Sifu Kin Sze is an excellent instructor- knowledgeable, patient and engaging. He teaches traditional Kung Fu with a combination of modern sports science. There is a focus on body mechanics, proper technique and effective application. Whatever your goals are- be it self defense, fitness or health- training at Bamboo will help you realize the potential of your physical abilities.

Bamboo Kung Fu helped create a physical goal that appeared achievable, and helped me realize I am capable of much more than I give myself credit. I had attempted to learn a series of different martial arts styles from several different venues. Most did not understand the foundations of their own studies enough to teach students in a unique enough way to adhere to the individual needs. At Bamboo my personal abilities are challenged everyday, not the unreal goals set by martial arts movies and televised fighting competitions. Since my first day training with Si Fu Kin Sze I've felt comfortable. I have taken with me not only physical superiority, but a better understanding of myself. I look forward to training here for a very long time.
