This is an excellent club run by a progressive and forward thinking Sifu Chung. As with any club, the students can make a good experience, a great one. This is such a martial arts club. Open and respectful, starting from the Sifu and through to every student.

Sifu Calvin Chung is one of the most dedicated, engaging, and wise instructors I've had the great fortune to train with. His approach to Kung Fu and how it can benefit all aspects of your life has been life alerting.

I've learned Northern Shaolin kung fu under Sifu Calvin for 13 years and going. Chung's Arts Academy offers several types of martial arts and a lion dance class, keeps things interesting and gives you a chance to try out what you like. Sifu Calvin's explanations of each move is simple and he breaks it down so they're easy to practice. Martial arts can look beautiful, but one should know how to apply it in self defense, which Sifu Calvin teaches clearly. Other than just martial arts, lessons of wellness, respect, equality, and family are taught, which makes this not just a school for martial arts, but a school that also helps to improve yourself as a person overall. I've been to workout facilities before, and none had the same feeling of community as Chung's Arts Academy. All the students are friendly and are happy to help each other. It's a feeling of not just joining a school, but also being part of a family. This is especially strong during Chinese New Year celebrations, when we go out to perform Lion Dance. We all work hard together and have fun during social events, making this school a well-rounded experience. If you want to have a good time learning traditional Chinese martial arts and meeting interesting people, definitely try out Chung's Arts Academy!
