I trained at Gold Summit from 2008-2009 but had to cut training short due to a car accident. However my time there was the best I've ever spent. This is somewhere that will teach you how to change your life through martial arts discipline. It is well rounded and brings you back down to earth. I definitely would love to go back to train there as I there has been nothing else in my life that has made me feel better mentally, physically, or spiritually.

The Golden Summit Martial Arts Institute is the best overall school I have seen in Buffalo, NY. If you are looking for but not only a great martial arts school, they also offer a great deal in nutrition along side a healthy lifestyle, self defense and cultural classic arts. With a sense of community and responsibility it is a very well balanced school with a well versed instructor. Id like to add that I am not a student here but rather an instructor from another school in China. I agree with the practices and traditions of this institute.

I've taken the Iron Fist Boxing (IFB) kickboxing class here, and have to say it is a blast. This isn't your DVD-special "Kickboxercise" class, but the real deal, packaged in one heck of a workout. I've never seen a workout or Martial arts place with such a friendly and supportive atmosphere, as opposed to a competitive, hierarchical one. The timed solo and pair drills that make up a large portion of the IFB class mean you work as hard as you personally are willing, so everyone from those in shape to those not quite so in shape (myself included) can all work at a pace challenging to them. The focus of personal improvement gives one an open-ended goal that got me eating healthier and working out more even outside of class, as I wanted to improve myself so I could do better. All in all, I feel I can safely recommend this establishment to anyone looking to better themselves, either in terms of skills or general physique. The inviting atmosphere makes it easy to start out, and perhaps you'll get hooked like I did. Enjoy!

Both of my children (3&6) are students at Gold Summit and we could not be happier with their programs. They are one of very few martial arts studios that take on 3 year olds, and, I would wager, the ONLY one at which the young children's instructor is not only skilled in Kung fu, but has an M.Ed. in early childhood education. Laoshi Markle is incredibly knowledgable and approachable, and makes herself available to students and parents when need be. There are no belts, no meaningless "tests", just solid Kung fu instruction in exactly the atmosphere one would want. We plan to be with Gold Summit for many years.
