Provides a degree of fun for the kids but does not focus on the technical aspects or how karate translates into everyday behavior. Instructors also do not know the formal terminology (such as kicks or stances) and would rather use terms like the “hammer punch”. It is therefore hard for kids that are serious about karate to appreciate this type of instruction.

My son has been attending Balanced Martial Arts for over 15 years. As expected, he is extremely skilled in Martial Arts. However, what many people don’t know is that Balanced Martial Arts does not only teach martial arts but also has a unique program that develops the person. My son has developed into an extremely caring, respectful, and dedicated young man. So much so, that he has chosen over many other career opportunities, to teach at Balanced Martial Arts. His name is Sensei Marc and I am very proud of him!

My sons and I have been training at Balanced Martial Arts these past three years. We have all benefited in mind & body. The instructors are great. They are very down to earth and knowledgeable. They understand everyone has a different fitness level and mind set. They take it into account as they help you to move to a better level. For me what is key is “Egos” are left at the door; teachers and students alike are there to support you as you move on to greater heights in the martial arts. It is a great place to be.
