We want to give a BIG thanks to Master Kim and all of the instructors at World Martial Arts in Yorba Linda. Our grandson achieved his blackbelt one year ago and is currently working toward his second degree. We have attended many classes over the lasts 5 years and watched the whole process as it evolved. There is tremendous attention to detail combined with praise for “doing it right” and gentle , good natured admonishment for “doing it wrong”. Overall it is obvious that all the instructors and Master Kim in particular truly love these kids and enjoy working with them. The children are learning not only a physical skill but a mental discipline . Master Kim calls it “ focus “ , but it is really much more. They are learning SELF REPECT and the joy of achieving a goal and Master Kim makes sure there are always goals to achieve. They are learning about RESPECT for their skills , for their classmates and for those who are teaching them these skills. This respect for others will serve them well as they move forward through life. Best of all , they are having fun doing it. Overall we are completely satisfied with World Mart Arts and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for an extracurricular activity for their child. 5 stars

I have a 8 year old daughter who recently attended this dojang and I want to share my thoughts regarding my experience. First of all she is very shy and when I took her for the first time to the dojang, she didn't want to participate. She had somewhat fear of unkown and for eight year old, this was a big moment for her, stepping out of her boundary and learning a skill. This is when Master Kim intervened in a gentle and positive manner explaining to my daughter how it's important to build up confidence and by overcoming this issue, she can move to a bigger and better things. To be honest, I didn't think an eight year old will get this but to my surprise she understood. I was impressed how he kneeled down to her eye level and talking to her in a very empathic and gentle manner and next thing you know she was on the mat kicking and punching. Now she loves going to dojang and looks forward to learning the art of Tae Kwon Do. Most importantly she learned a life's lession to be confident and face her fears. Also the instructors are very keen to what each student needs and emphasize postive re-enforcement which builds up their confidence. They have such a vibrant energy and I like they have at least 4 instructors in a class to watch over students. Also they separate the students to their skills levels and I do like their personal attention to each students. They also have some weapons and self defense classes which I plan to enroll my daughter in near future. Overall I am very satisfied so far, and apprecaite Master Kim's patience and understanding toward each individual students.

I have found that, throughout my son’s training, Nick has become a more confident young man; he is also more open to encouraging others around him. Not only does Master Kim and his staff teach my son valuable qualities that he can take with him throughout his life, they have genuine care and concern for each student as an individual. It is difficult to choose just one aspect of the World Martial Arts Center that is the most important. On a physical level, the students are taught the importance of good physical fitness. On a personal level, Master Kim and his staff are building character and integrity. Lastly, from the moment you enter the World Martial Arts Center, you feel as though you are a part of more than just a dojo, you are among friends. -Connie Ricchio, parent of a child age 8.

My son has been attending the World Martial Arts Center for one year. I have seen a tremendous improvement in his self esteem, which has had a positive impact on his school performance, as well as various aspects of his life. I think one of the fundamental aspects of the World Martial Arts Center is the structure and discipline it teaches the students. This enables the students to have a solid foundation, which will help them greatly in any future endeavors. My son Lucas loves coming to class and has formed an incredible bond with Master Kim and Instructor, who he views as his father figures. Master Kim and his staff are genuinely concerned not only with the competitive aspect of Tae Kwon Do, but they also provide a moral compass for their students. I greatly appreciate what the classes have done for my son and the positive impact they have made on his life. -Dionne Arteaga, parent of a child age 6

Over the past three years of training, the biggest improvement with my son Zackary is his gain in confidence. Master Kim has taught my son that he can do anything that he puts his mind to. My daughter Hailey has become very determined, and self motivated. Master Kim and his staff have helped teach Zack to focus in order to achieve his goals. They have also helped Hailey learn crucial self defense techniques. As a young woman, she feels confident in any situation that she finds herself in. My family feel that this is a tremendous program for any age children. Both of my children have become very self motivated and do not wish to miss a single one of their Tae Kwon Do classes! -Kristi Glenday, parent of 2 children age 8 and 12.
