I think that Moorimgoong is such a great place to learn self-control and live a good life. Thanks to all the staff at Moorimgoong, my life has become more lively and easier to live. I had first came to this place 7 years ago, and trained for 5 years. But after that, I took a break for 2 years which I think was a big mistake on my part. But now that I am back, it feels great and I encourage other people to come and witness this blessing with all of the Moorimgoong members.

Ever since I was young, I’ve always wanted to do martial arts. From watching cartoons, Power Rangers, and kung fu movies I wanted to emulate what I saw. The Chief Director, Daniel Lee Moon was my highschool classmate and asked me to come in. I mustered whatever energy I had to come to class, and boy was it a revelation. I had never been so out of breath in my life. I never really knew how out of shape I was. After high school I stopped weighing myself and decided to focus on what I thought were more important things like getting my degree and looking for work. With time, dedication, and a few more moments of clarity in my life, I wanted to try other avenues to really maximize my output, but I had no prior experience, but thanks to MRG, I was able to explore that avenue. MRG isn’t just a martial arts school that taught me KungFu/TKD, it is a community that opened its arms wide to welcome someone lost like myself who wanted to better my life. They care about me as a person and I really appreciate that they cared about my growth so much that they able to show me “tough love” and push me to my absolute limits. Over time, I learned to understand that if I wanted to become something more than I am today, I’d have to work through whatever struggles I had. At MRG, I never had to do it alone.
