I started tae kwon do because my husband and kids were into it. I had no idea I would come to love it so much! We all love going to The Studio - there's this great feeling when you walk in the door and know all the people and feel like you're part of the family. I started back on my fitness journey - with my family - and love every minute! Lots of inspiration and opportunities for personal growth await at The Studio!

My son was 13 and in middle school. He had become an angry young man. He was sensitive and felt picked on and bullied at school. Sometimes he was being bullied, but often he just had a negative mindset. He would allow himself to be resentful and angry about normal junior-high-school-aged behavior. Eventually he turned his anger on me, calling me names and threatening several times to hit me (I am his mother and a second-degree black belt). I tried to help him by putting him in wrestling, which helped some. When wrestling season ended he became angry again. At my wits end, I brought him into THE STUDIO against his will, telling him he had to do taekwondo until wrestling started. Five years earlier he had left taekwondo as a red belt at a different school. Master Pourarian brought him into THE STUDIO as a brown belt, using a charismatic combination of love and firmness to explain to him what he needed to do to catch up. As I helped him put on his belt I could see how tense he was. “Don’t worry,” I told him. “This place is a family.” I don’t know what was more shocking, seeing his whole body relax at my words, or realizing that I considered THE STUDIO to be my family. On his third day at THE STUDIO he came over to me and said “Forget wrestling Mom, I want to do taekwondo. This is great. This is GREAT!” Today I was helping my son with his black belt essay. I cried as I read paragraph after paragraph of him describing the things he had learned from his latest journey in taekwondo. Controlling his nerves. How to keep going when you don’t want to. Fostering camaraderie. Making friends. Controlling his moods. Learning to have a black belt mindset. Kids at school no longer bother him. He has become a happy young man, rarely upset and never angry. He always gets his school work done and otherwise shows responsibility beyond his years. Taekwondo and THE STUDIO have done wonders for my son and for our family.

First impression- Welcoming, friendly, and helpful. They helped us figure out which class would be best for my daughter and we signed her up in her first Ninja Warrior class. I was so impressed and my daughter was so excited we scheduled a Ninja birthday party. Second and continued impressions- this is an excellent place for my daughter to gain confidence, grow and be inspired by amazing role models. Thank you Amitis and Ms. Katie

We just had our sons 7th birthday at THE STUDIO and it was absolutely awesome. He is obsessed with the American Ninja Warrior show so this was the perfect place to have his birthday. Business owner, Katie Walker helped with every detail and ensured my son, all 11 kids, boys and girls ranging in age from 3 to 9 had a great time. Venue is spacious, looks great and clean. Staff helped with everything, from set up, passing out the cake, handing out favors and even packing gifts into our cars. It was the perfect amount of free time with organized games and then the BEST ever true Ninja Warrior obstacle course. They split the kids between upper and lower body activities but the best part was the timed obstacle course. Everyone was cheering for who could get the best time, even the parents. However, I think my son getting to cut his cake with a real ninja sword was the highlight of the day. Price is absolutely worth every cent. Everyone had a great time and we will be spreading the word around the Rocklin, Lincoln, Roseville area for sure that this is the latest and greatest place for boys AND GIRLS birthday parties. Thanks again everyone at THE STUDIO!!!

After reviewing many gyms in the area, The Studio caught my eye. The trainers are always trying to help you reach your goals, whatever they may be. The Studio isn’t just a place to train at, it’s a place that you can walk into and feel instantly at home. This is somewhere that you look forward to going because you know you will always be greeted with a warm smile, where you know that you and your goals are truly cared about.
