Best avoid this school. Went to view a few classes because a friend's child goes there. First of all, don't go in to view the class because the owner will make sure to come and talk to you and sell you the program. BTW, friend's child has been there five years and still no black belt! Look from outside and you will see the real picture. The classes were taught by a high school kid and a bimbo who was constantly flirting with the high school kid. Two of the three times we viewed, the students were told to practice on their own so some were doing forms, some were kicking and some were chatting. The owner, Master Lee was either no there or in the office doing anything but teaching. The classes are no more than daycare for little kids. Not wasting over two hundred dollars a month to send my kid there.

I had a completely different experience. We have been with Martial Arts Academy for almost 2 years. My children are better people because of it. The instructor has guided them in martial arts as well as life because much of what they learn translates to everyday life - respect, hard work, positive attitude, endurance. My little ones were 4 and 5 when they started and I have watched them become more confident, focus on reaching a goal and have the utmost respect and love for their main instructor BKJN. They have never had any injuries and have broken boards, sparred and thrown lots of kicks and punches. I would highly recommend this school.

My son was here for 5 years, then I decided to try adult classes. Instructors are outstanding, class schedule is flexible. Highly recommended.

I agree with PJ's review. I, too, have two children who have been taking lessons for two years now with BKJN Seth and most recently with Master Lee. Both instructors are very attentive and push each child to the best of his/herr ability. During the two years that my kids have been there, my older one has developed from a shy five year old to a confident and well-behaved seven year old who shows utmost respect to adults, partly due to the discipline taught through MAA.
